US might start deporting Ukranians. Chance trump might deport them to Russia. Would be at least the second country to deport people to russia for imprisonment, torture and/or execution.

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump- ... 025-03-06/

Just an fyi US is still holding a German citizen indefinitely.

https://www.cnn.com/2025/03/04/world/ge ... index.html

Jessica Brösche, a Berlin-based tattoo artist, had been vacationing in Mexico when she decided to travel to the US from Tijuana with an American friend, Nikita Lofving. But at the San Ysidro port of entry immigration authorities took Brösche into custody.

The entire thing with Jessica Brösche is kind of weird. She had a return ticket to Germany and they held her past the date of her return flight, on the accusation that she wanted to work in America. Now she is said to be released without charges later this month. At some point she allegedly spend 9 days in a row in solitary confinement. I simply do not understand what the end goal here is, it is not like she wouldn’t immediately and voluntarily leave the country if given the chance.

I really hope the Auswärtige Amt reacts and gives out a travel warning for America. Traveling there is not safe currently, anyone can be snatched up and then vanish at the border.

US might move troops from Germany to Pro-Russian Hungary.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/us/politics ... f-germany/

Poland looking to get nuclear weapons and build a 500,000 person army. Turkey military has 481,000 active military and 380,000 reserve personnel.

https://www.politico.eu/article/donald- ... ce-russia/

Poland has voluntary military training (it's voluntary and not just for men I think)

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy83r93l208o.amp

US might be providing russia with satellite imagery and intel for use against Ukraine. Some private US companies have cut off Ukraine usage of their satellites and some were suspected of working privately for russia. Might have something to do with the current kursk pocket.

So all that Russian cash that has been frozen by so many countries none of them know what to do with it, well it turns out the UK has decided to give the interest from that Russian loot to none other than Ukraine in its fight against Russia that is roughly 2.5 Billion USD of Russian money going to Ukraine to buy equipment to fight against Russia.

Another good one, Russia is saying no NATO troops in Ukraine, so the UK and France are saying, okay no problems we're just going to send our Euro Fighters to Ukraine instead. Seems like this one is another escalation response because of Trumps actions, Yeah trump will bring piece to Ukraine.

Some people don't have the mental capacity to understand that surrender is not peace. It's no different then telling a rape victim to not fight back.

US won't be participating in military exercises in Europe or Sweden. So no more NATO exercises.

Hungary and US have started economic cooperation talks.

Two additional data points for US citizen to detect what their current administration has become: no NATO exercises anymore + talks with the Hungarian leader who just loves it to destroy the EU (all the while syphoning money from it).

Let's just hope EU finally wakes up in that latter point as well and kick that country out. All this misery has high chances of forcing much needed change.

Both the EU and NATO are a construct to preserve peace. Anyone left with a few brain cells should finally get the memo what damaging them will yield. (spoiler alert: it's NOT peace).

I'm not sure exactly why the USA would transfer troops to Hungary, what would that accomplish?

I would ask more, what does anything Trump do accomplish, as basically everything he does makes zero sense, then you also have to remember he does idolize Viktor Orbán, as he is regarded as being Europe's last dictator, and Trump sure does love a dictator, probably even more than his own kids.

It is meant more as a signal towards Germany I'd assume: "Play ball like Hungary or we stop protecting you." That being said, given that by now 59% of Germans (as well as 59% of French people and 57% of the Brits) think that Trump is a dictator, I am not entirely sure if the plan is going to work out as intended. The reactions here in Germany have been mostly one of "add it to the allready burning pile of issues we have", apathy or quite frankly people not even hearing about it.

Looking at the map - it's located more centrally to whole Europe, as well as much closer to potential flashpoints.

Don't know, if this make worth the effort, time and money to relocate.

Plus not sure how good is road and rail infrastructure to actually be a proper worthwhile location.

Hungary is pro russian and has said it wouldn't attack russia. Hungary also has chinese police stations and chinese police officers that patrol with local police. hungary has also blocked EU aid to ukraine and other stuff for russia. The troops there would likely try to sit out the war. Which is kind of funny since many countries in nato have mad plans which would include nuking russia. After the first nuke hits moscow/saint pettersburg or biological/chemical weapons are released the US is screwed anyways due to russias/likely chinas retaliation.

Now to see if Russia agrees. Fingers crossed.
CNN wrote:Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Tuesday that Ukraine had accepted a 30-day ceasefire proposed by the United States, following critical peace talks between US and Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia.

The ceasefire proposal accepted by Ukraine covers the entire front line of the fighting with Russia, not just the air and sea, Zelensky said after the meeting.

“Ukraine accepts this proposal, we consider it positive, we are ready to take such a step, and the United States of America must convince Russia to do so,” Zelensky said, adding that the ceasefire would start the moment Moscow agrees to it.

Following the meeting, the United States said it would “immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and resume security assistance to Ukraine,” according to a joint US-Ukraine statement.

Zelensky is a smart guy, and folks in Ukrainian government as well. I hope they are ready for every possibility of this, and not just blindly following Trump's madness

The only problem I see with a frontline ceasefire is that right now Russia is getting their backside handed to them, they cannot get troops, equipment, supplies or anything else to their frontline, as every time they try it is currently getting destroyed before getting there, so a ceasefire will allow them to dig in and resupply, possibly making the war even longer than it could be with the way things are currently going. So for this very reason I can see Russia possibly probably agreeing to the ceasefire, if they do agree, the next question is will they live up to the agreement as they do not have a record of doing so, they are like Trump make promises with no intention of living up to those promises.

Russia will use a ceasefire to rearm, and so will Ukraine. There's simply no way that Ukraine doesn't use a ceasefire to dig in and rearm. It's also a foregone conclusion that the Ukrainian military will continue to train their recruits and replenish their units. And Ukrainian pilots could use a little peacetime to learn to fly those French fighters, they are capable of shooting down Russian cruise missiles. Russia will get stronger after a ceasefire, but so will Ukraine. My guess, Russian soldiers don't have much to gain from a truce.

There were multiple "ceasefires" already in the beginning of the war. In the form of Russia just kept shooting at the civilians being evacuated.

I am sorry but why would it be different this time? And they can make the US look like powerless idiots to the world at that.

I believe it when I see it but a Russians version of truce did not differ from war so far.

the only reason to agree to this is to get European troops into Ukraine while Russia objects loudly

If they do have a ceasefire their allies should bring in trench digging machines pretty fast. Ukraine doesn't have any.

Can't see a ceasefire being good . Likely a trick. Russia seemed to be having several issues like jammed bombs, lack of armor, etc... They were using donkeys at one point.

Russia needs to be beaten down and in retreat so that they will give up some land for a peace treaty. Until then no point.

Maybe US or Israel could finally attack Iran and blow up the factories supplying russia. Syria falling changed a few things. Still need to deal with Irans nuclear program. More of a threat to Israel and US.

US probably also trying to do some thing with Zelensky and Zelensky taking the bait to see where it goes as usual. A new smear campaign, trying to get rid of Zelensky? Could be another US trick of other sorts they should be very paranoid.
