XXL Docking computer

I just realized that the docking computer has been changed to an XXL sized upgrade. Wow... I pose the question again, is that part of the mod, and if so, can you point me in the right direction to change it back to a standard wear? Please kind sir. :P

I have to say again, this mod is just sooooo good, so much work has gone into all the new features.....and in such a small time scale!

Only just noticed (in the 3d viewer) all the new Pirate Split, Paranid and Boron fighter paint jobs.....so cool and so much detail!

Anyway, small bug report....the new Paranid Medium weapon, the Phased Plasma Generator has got no description when you click on info.....but it appears to be the Description for the New Split Capitol Weapon instead the Plasma Burst Projector, but this only happens when you view it on a Split ship, if you look at it in the Encyclopaedia then then its seems ok.....or its the other way round? anyway both weapons descriptions need looking at.

yr SPK file XRM1.02 PART 2 is missing the following file

plugin.XTra.owp.activate.xml

Its in the zip file .. but missing in the SPK file.

thank for your quick reponce but ...I am in good relation with the race .... its the same for the pirate ...sometime they are red sometime green...ok but this time is for the other race like paranid and yaki. in all sector they are green but sometime sector are red when I come for the first time ( I don't hurt anybody in the sector) but they are red.

and the last things one of the 4 repair laser for the maintenace pod are grey in the selection of weapon (not the same color of other)

The issue of some ships being red and some blue happens in vanilla as well, especially with pirates.

If you have good relations with the race in question, then just check that your ship has is set. Go into global settings, make sure relations with that race are set to friend, then hit broadcast to all ships.

Are the Quantum Pulse Repair Lasers mounting correctly? Hit G, then install weapon. Also make sure you have some Quantum Tubes in your freight bay.

lol i think its funny how many people are against the jumpdrive and docking comp being xxl. Its only cuz they wana instant dock to there carrier when there fighter sheilds go down! lol :P
I used to list PC parts here, but "the best" will suffice!

Personally I love the changes from SSRP, it makes those upgrades actually feel like actual upgrades. It does make early game a lot harder and more interesting, also TM's are now really useful. Only downside is that causes some problems with Phanon Corp ( which I love ) but its quite easy to fix.

Completely untrue. I just don't like losing fighters when they try to dock, due to a horrendous game bug.

I am more than happy to let them die glorious deaths in combat. But having them line up to dock after a huge fight and immediately plaster themselves on the docking bay door is depressing.

All the rest of the SSRP changes are okay with me, although I do think a few of the price changes went a little overboard. :roll:

Yeah same here i like the changes! As you say it makes larger ships useful. It also means plots like OFF can't be completed until you at least have a TM Or bigger which i think is another + :) Docking computer was always one of those things i used but thought was cheating in a way because i could just auto dock to my carrier when in trouble. now i cant just go in guns blazing! lol you can still do it with an m6 thought! :P

na i think most stuff is 2 cheap in x games! specially ships! if i can buy a space fighter for a couple of million how much is a loaf of bread .00001 of a credit lol

the various grade's of shield's can be done with the editor easy enough, but as for factorys to make, I have no clue on that one...

Hotfix isn't working for me for some reason. Not sure what I did wrong :( I put the cat/dat files in the X3 folder after naming them to a higher number than part 1/2. ATF and USC Commander starts are still the same though. Is there some other step that I need to do? I have no other mods (other than hull pack and the cockpit pack) and no other star.pck or gamestart.pck in the director folder, no not really sure how there could be any issues.

Just use cycrows cheat scripts and set your atf rep to mars access (or greater) and your terran rep to friendly. resist the temptation to give yourself free ships and money!. save - exit game - disable cheat scripts in mod manager - play! that will get you going until the next patch release.

MAN! I have been playing this game for years and I just now realize the power of a GREAT game community! Thank you! The X3 Editor is a god send... I'm so happy my wife thinks I'm on drugs. JoelR you are DA MAN. :lol:

I went and got myself a titan and equipped it up with various guns for its turrets. I got the new mars file but the moment I flipped the switch in game it started complaining about it not having guns for turrets and the three turrets that equip PBC and PPC are acting oddly with the idle stance having everything but the first slot equipped with PBC's and occasionally the turrets manage to turn themselves off of mars (which I didn't even know was possible. While all other guns seem to work alright mars just doesn't like PPC's and PBC's which suddenly renders Argon Capital ships useless (assuming of course that the other ships don't suffer a similar problem).

Anyone else noticing this or did I make an installation goof somewhere?

First off you might want to take this question to the MARS thread. Secondly, if I am understanding you, then whats happening is normal. If you dont have "enough" lasers to fill all the turrets then you will get that warning. In other words if there are 24 slots for lasers and you only have 5 then that alarm will go off. (Someone correct me if im wrong)

Just to check if the lack of guns was the problem I used the cheat menu to make a titan equipped with 309 cluster flak, 87 PPC, 88 PBC, and one Mars. No dice on the PPC's and PBC's. Cluster are just fine. I haven't encountered any problems with the other races weapons (Profit bless/curse [depending which side of the gun I'm on] the Teladi that made guass cannons have a range near 10 km and only use energy) although I haven't checked terran or mthe various enemy races stuff and I also have just been checking capital ship weaponry. so far only the PPC and PBC seem to show any problems

Check something for me. Open up the config menu and scroll down to the bottom and tell me what number the config file its using is. It should be 7054.
