ok i am now officially lost, i didnt bother with the CODEA and MARs

all i did was try install the part 1 and 2 of XRM mod

i went into X3TC then Addons for AP an put in the files, put the number 03.dat etc. for all the mods, i put part 1 and 2, then hull mod, and cockpit etc.

all simple stuff, and i ran the plugin manager as it told me too an switched it on and off,. an nothings happend also made sure was on correct directory,

i followed the instructions EXACTLY as it said and its just not working, really have no idea whats wrong with this

What does "its not working" mean? How do you know its not working?

Also you should be clear about the difference between a mod and a script.

XRM is a mod and CODEA and MARS are scripts. YOu can use the PM for scripts without any issue (and its required in many cases) but for MODS its recommended to use the false patch method.

- unzip contents of XRM PART 1.
- rename the cat/dat file in Part 1 to 03.cat / 03.dat and copy that into your addon folder.
- unzip contents of XRM PART 2.

- unzip contents of XRM Backgrounds

- unzip contents of XRM Hull Pack Med
- rename the cat/dat file in XRM Hull Pack Med to 06.cat / 06.dat and copy them into your addon folder.
- rename the file 00044.pck to 00044.old in your \addon\mov directory.
- run the X Plugin Manager and then close it.

Installation complete.

(SPK version)
- open plugin manager
- go to settings > add directory and find your x3ap.exe
- select the Albion Prelude from the dropdown below the text 'Current Directory'
- go to settings > mode and change to modified.
- press install package and select XRM Part 1.spk
- press install package and select XRM Part 2.spk
- press install package and select XRM Backgrounds.spk
- press install package and select XRM Hull Pack Med.spk
- rename the file 00044.pck to 00044.old in your \addon\mov directory.

Installation complete.

(dammit, beaten by 1 minute. Egads!)

Update: *gets himself a drink of expensive scotch and goes back to playing X3AP*

forget about CODEA and MARs im not talking about that

im talking about the actuall mod its self, the XRM mod, i used false patch, and used cockpit mod too and the hull patch, and the background mod all done in false patch things, its not working attall its just running Vanilla AP i totally lost beyond this point i REAllY dont see what i have done wrong i cant get more Spacific than this

You must be copying the files into your terran conflict root directory. It needs to be copied to the addon folder.

You'll probably have to fresh install Terran Conflict to get rid of all the stuff you've put in it. X3:TC needs to be vanilla for the X3:AP version of the mod to work properly.

How do you know its vanilla AP though.
firstly there was no cockpit, and secondly there was no Pause or any messages regarding the XRM mod thing being activated

First I want to say this is an AMAZING mod! Makes the universe so more alive and you get a ton more options. Running game with AP.

Now I've installed and reinstalled this game so many times after this mod. Things are running smooth as silk but once in a while I cheat warp into a sector with the cyrow cheat script and the game just about locks up. Frame rate drops to zero or one and doesn't recover. I end up having to alt/f4 the thing back to windows.

Can anyone tell me if this mod would have a conflict with any of the scripts listed below? Thanks!

If you have an nVidia GPU, set your Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames setting to 0 in the nVidia control panel for X3TC.

That should largely fix that issue.

anybody here use that capital ship ecells regenerator script/ware mod? is it actually working? how? I'm not finding any ecells regenerator wares at all...

Ok where did you unzip the XRM cat/dats and hullpack cast/dats?

I think morikaane is on to something. You need to unzip them into the folder named "addon"

This has absolutely nothing to do with the recommended "addons". I suspect thats where your confusion is coming from.

yeah i unzipped it all in the Addon folder, i went exactly where it told me to go for X3AP
