I had something similar happen with a TL. Loaded with a dock and TOA (in order to claim a sector) told it to fly directly to the HSAP. When it reached the target, I jumped to the system and had it build the TOA. Since it was right on the HSAP, it built the gate around itself and when I told to to fly to through, it turned and blew itself up

I had a TL decide it wanted a merger with an Ice Mine I built in the last Saturn sector. It built the station, I saw a pretty flash in the distance. Then realized my TL was no longer present. Pretty Flash
