I had to install the EMP script (the version you provided), 'cause otherwise the advanced jump drive components wouldn't show up at all.

Problems with Advanced Jumpdrive
I hope someone can help me.
I use Moxi's mod merge with the copitmod from egosoft and the script collection of LV and Stevio shipyard and until now i didn't have a problem but when the new update from Egosoft 1.4 the Advance jumpdrive give a ReadText 17-12013 and ReadText 17-11993.
I try to uninstall the script and reinstall it but the only resolve was to install the Advaced jumpdrive in the Argon shipyards and Goner templo as the script is suppoused to do but my ships, the gonner Templo and shipyards still have the text ReadText.... and the jumpdrive at teh same time.
If i start a new game and activate the script it will work fine without the ReadText...
Is there anyway i can get rid of the ReadText without having to start a new game?

yyou can run the uninstall script for the advanced jumpdrive, it should remove all the wares from stations and ships, then next time you load, it should have been sorted out.
it sounds like it didn't update correctly, as the new version used different wares, and i think those are for the old version, which no longer have any text entries for

I think that's the problem i don't have the uninstall script.
I've got 1 in the X3 folder call "setup.uninstall.advjump" which after opening calls the script "uninstall.advjump" which doesn't exist and looking at 1.3 version is not there.
I have tried on my laptop and I've got the problem but with the new txt

Perhaps download Cycrow's script installer and the advance jumpdrive.pck file. Then install it using the script installer which should override the files already in your directory.dogbite20 wrote:I think that's the problem i don't have the uninstall script.

It is definitely a terrific program as I have had no probs whatsoever patching up X3 after uninstalling all scripts then reinstalling them when once X3 was patched up.
Just a thought maybe worth trying out.
Another one bites the dust!!

I tried to open the package script with the xscript packager and open the advancejump file on its own and the 3 files are there :
setup.uninstall.advjump.xml
uninstall.advjump.rem.xml
uninstall.advjump.xml
But all of them have 0b size and when i try to install the script with the xscript installer the uninstall folder is empty.

Got it sorted out. Now the three items are listed and available. I loaded an old savegame I had made before activating the script editor. Go figure.
I have found out, though, that using the jumpless drive while using gates has one big flaw: the shields don't get back up, ever. I tried five minutes running SETA, and I was in a corvette. Nada. Dropped all the shields and picked them up again, still no go.
Using the advanced jump drive with scanners to do a jump into the midst of a sector dropped the shields, but they recharged immediately.
Is this a known issue, or have I made a mistake?
