Thanks for the feedback Locksley. Basically the beta1 changes the backgrounds and makes very little changes to illumination to fit with the new images. The new beta in process change extensively the look of sectors and changes also the fog sectors.
Pitch black xenon sectors......included. A real pain.

I dont know why but i cant make any modification to the dust. There are a specific editor for the dust, quantity and coloration but making changes dont affects at all the dust look.

I will not change descriptions or sector data like the population. I dont know nothing behind this data and its not fine make changes without a real reason.

I will check Akeel'as beacon.

I am not sure what you are saying here. I've played around allot with dust and colours in the past before I decided just to remove it all.

The yellow zero is the amount of dust and the three following lines are the colours. I am sure you know this but I've always got the changes I wanted when editing these values. I am sure I must be misunderstanding you.

Fair enough - for a short while there they seemed blatantly wrong, but as I said, going through it more methodically showed it was okeyish :roll:

First time I came to Akeela's Beacon in X3 I went - what, did I remember it wrong?

The ageing but brilliant nuclear scientist, Akeela Hartnell, had one dream: to create a string of artificial suns that would light the way, and provide solar power for the ever expanding colonisation of sectors and planets by all races. The vessel that would allow Akeela to see her dream set off on its journey, but as it cleared the Omicron Lyrae system the ship was hit by an asteroid travelling so fast that it was virtually impossible to avoid, and so damaged the ship. The crew, except for Akeela, disembarked and made their way away from the ship. Akeela succeeded in getting the ship away from the inhabited sectors, but the resulting explosion changed the sectors gate that locked onto the Aladna Hill sector. The project nearly ended in disaster and Akeela's Beacon is her gift to the people of the galaxy. A request by Akeela's last will and testament asked that the Argon govern the new system, but it should be a free place, and a safe haven for all traders. Four glowing stars is the result of Akeelas Dream, and so the sector is named after her.
Here is the X2 description - I knew I couldn't be that wrong :P Still, if Ego put 400% sun in there I guess they feel the radiation and output of the suns still merit that.

Dust isnt the same as fog (floating nebulas). Perhaps this is the reason of misunderstanding.

Thanks one again for your impressive work, I have imported my old saves to new game start (by X3TC-X3TC script) and enjoy your mod.
Can you tell us when should we expect new release?

Ah yes I see now that you thought I was talking about "cloud density". I just meant that you could have Red coloured particles in sectors with Red clouds - if you not already done that (or don't think it's worth the effort :shock: )

Lttle bit offtopic:


Yes, X3TC-X3TC script (which I mentioned on page 16 of this topic) worked fine.

It remembered all my 6 ships, my account and relationships with races, sectors visited
What was lost during import
-plot progress (I've started once again as tormented teladi in the same sector Acquisition Repository like in first time, and now I have 1 Enhanced Kea and can get one more because of new start :) )
-combat|trade rank - easy to fix by cycrow's cheats but I did not.
-pirate notoriety was -2 (-350) became -5 (-600000), so I used cycrow's cheats to put back -350. As result some pirate are hostile, some are not.
-I've got little different stations in opened sectors (few)

Also, I've installed rank dial and slow notoriety scripts to slow down ranks and notoriety grow to 33% from original to make game more challenging

I apologize if anyone tried my link and it wasn't working, I had cleaned out the directory and accidently deleted the file, it has been reuploaded and is now working.

Probably already been brought up... Ringo Moon and Power Circle lack backgrounds... they have a blackness background and I feel as though they need to be more colorful :wink:

Ringo moon its a very important Argon sector surrounded by the bluewell gas sectors. I decided to change this sector to this bluewell background. You must feel on the centre of the Argon space.
Power circle its in the middle between argon and boron sectors. I think its a transition sector. I will not change the current black background.

Hello connary.

Are you the same connary that does textures for Morrowind?
If you are, i vote you as the best retexturer for both my favourite games: Morrowind and X3TC.

I'll try those out still today, for the screenshots are astonishing.
Also waiting on your superpack for the morrowind ones eh !

Unknown Sector east of PTNI Hq needs light fix because its sun is reddish while stations and ships are illuminated by vanilla bluish sun.
PTNI and sectors from this region use proper light illumination which is lightly reddish. See the difference?

The Wall sector in Argon space is a CORE sector so that should have color to it. Current it's blackout there... as I'm taking from what you posted about some boarder/transition sectors as compared to CORE sectors. I'm looking at going to all core sectors to see which ones need color to them or ones I can suggest that haven't already been suggested

Yes, im the same working in the compendium for Morrowind, Rafael.
Thanks, but remember this is a beta version only for testing purposes. A sector explodes with the current version, really.
