Very nice mod

I want to point out that as I was crusing around Nopileos' Memorial, I noticed that the nebula or whatever it is was in front of one of the planets in the background making it look a bit strange.

Another time as I was in one of the Split sectors around Family Njy and Njy's Deception ( I can't remember which one precisely) there were srtipes in the background texture which were a bit darker and which formed large squares. It was quite subtle so I really had to look carefully to notice. However, on the game I noticed the stripes on, I hadn't started a new game so I don't know if it has anything to do with it.

I hope this will help improve this already beautiful mod.

I'll tell you if I notice anything else as well.

Sadly I'm attempting to try the beta, but everytime I try to start with it as the selected mod, it crashes. Anyone else having this problem? Anyone found a way around it? I'm currently using the Steam release and have the X plugin manager installed. Anything from that that would cause it to not boot the game?

Otherwise I'm looking forward to trying this. It looks amazing.

The mod isnt dead at all people. Right now i dont have all the time needed and i dont want to release a new beta cause i can understand that is a bad joke start the game one more time for a unfinished mod.
I will try to make a new effort when i get the time and then at least we will have a RC version.

Thanks Yalertnom i noticed some problems in the most darker parts on some backgrounds due the compression of the dds on to cat files.

The fog sectors have not been worked at all in the current beta Sheik. The new version will cut starts and create other effect to get more immersion.

No one commented any ctd problem with this mod skatcat31.

Not that I am a specialist of any sort, but you could try to use it as a fake patch. I have had issues with mods that disappeared when I tried them as fake patches.

@ Connary

I am using your mod since a while now, it's beautiful, and some sectors particularly, like Home of Light add a lot to the game. You almost can feel the weight of the planet there. Thanks a lot

Okay now iwth a vanilla instal of X3, 2.7.1. Put it into the mods folder, and it borked the game again... Sadly it looks like I can't play it, and attempting to forces me to spend 6 hours re downloading it... Any ideas why? Is anyone else on Vista with 2.7.1 having an issue with this mod?

Hope connary is ok. Wouldn't want to see this mod canceled. Been playing EVE meanwhile. Blah! What's the point of a space game if you have no control over your craft? Anyway, hope to see the new version. Doesn't matter when actually, but it would be nice to know if the mod hasn't been put on the shelf.

@ Connary: Does you mod change positions of Kha'ak planets? I think this mod is the cause of dropping a planet smack dab in the middle of the western Kha'ak sector. It kills me and everything else in the sector when I jump in.

Borks How??
Why are you needing to continually download it?

Is the immersive cat and dat file in the Mods Folder?
Are you Trying to load a save game after it loads?
Are you Starting a New Game?

Once it's in the Mods Folder

I Select [Click] Mod Package
I select immersive
Click the OK Button
Then I Click Start X3:TC.

Launches Fine. Menu Backgound is just like TC Vanilla [Jupiter] but with a brownish cloudy nebula. I'd like to see that nebula changed if connary gets round to releasing an update to the mod. It does not do justice to the mod which is absolutely beautiful.

Has worked through X3:TC 2.5/2.6/2.7.1

I really liked the mod. It was good for a change.

But I have one request. Could you make a version without fog? I am not a big fan of it. I tried to use your mod with the

[MOD]No Fog 2.5comp Fake Patch [V1.0 22/03/2010] by Argonaught.

Has worked great so far, looks awsome, only noticed a few sectors that you missed, but wouldn't play x3 TC without it.
I always shoot first then.......hmm I can never remember the rest

Yea. I can't do Final Fury now. :(

I'm guessing that if the mod was fixed, then it would still require a restart?

Well you could finish the plot and then enable the mod (like i did). I love most of the backgrounds he made, and once you're done with the plot you don't have to worry about any kind of game crash.

Yes, but the game cannot move the planets after it has started AFAIK.
I am trapped, since I cannot remove them, and I had an M7 and stuff.

Or at least I was, before I restarted, which doesn't hurt, with my FPS going up...

i havent found any unbackgrounded sectors yet, but I have found a few weird looking sectors:

Oh...just realised this project is dead, oh well if you ever resurect it here's my advice
