In vanilla there are no stations that sell jump beacons, so the only way to get them was to destroy RRF ships that carried them.
This^^
Which is actually a very clever way to "distribute" them - I would really prefer it to stay that way.
And they are worth a fortune in AP (like 250m or so) and invaluable if you plan attacks deep behind terran lines...
They also greatly increase the efficiency of the player's internal logistics. Once you have a few jump beacons you can stick them right next to your stations and cut down your freighters' travel time between complexes to almost nothing. That same efficiency can be applied to the player's defense forces, as well. A jump beacon next to a SEWN satellite gives your patrol ships the ability to respond immediately to threats they would normally have to cross large sectors to engage.
I've heard people saying they aren't worth 250 million credits, but I'm pretty sure those people aren't thinking hard enough.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.
Well I've not altered the rrf script and those ships are still in the game, just less conspicuous and fewer of them, so I'd imagine they will still have beacons on board.
I will make them available for purchase too, but only in a few places. They'll be very expensive!

I recall something like this from the TC version... I can't remember off the top of my head what was causing it. Can you send me a screen shot?
Its a conflict with one of luckies scripts I think. I was the one who reported it like 456 or so pages back lol. Anyhow I cant be sure of the source. I am guessing its his jump beacon script. I will check that out when I get home from work.
Have a question about the script editor and "Thereshallbewings". Do I have to enable this thing in every game I start? How do I know if I did it correctly? I changed the name of my pilot to "Thereshallbewings", but I don't know if it did anything or what I am supposed to do once I do that lol.
Unfortunately the station is not longer there to have a screenshot of the sector! I was away during a Khaak invasion at that sector and now that I returned for the screenshot it's no longer there. There are no debris of it either though.

You should be able to see the script editor in your ships menu. Shift+C and you must be able to see it just above the Friend-Foe settings.

I have 3 stations like this.. i can't select them, but strangely i can still buy from them. They are all shipyards, with the advanced/prototype ships. One was in circle of whatever(war zone). I forget where i had seen the other 2.

That one sounds like your research stations aren't spawning properly. This would be caused by a conflicting mod that alters TFactories and is blocking the xrm TFactories.

The invasion of the Invalids!
Invalids are caused when the game can't find the entry in tdocks or tfactories that it is trying to spawn. Check for conflicting mods that alters either of those files.
I use EED at which I have made a small(?) mistake at the initial install. I deleted the two .pk files after the start of the game and now I can see and possibly buy the EED docks in the future, but I also have 4X Z_something_placeholders at the same shipyard just under the EED sellable docks.
Let me know if I should provide a screenshot for this... or even if I should provide a screenshot for any other visible problem I'll have in the future.

hehe k thanks fixed it. Deleted Saturn complex hub which had a tfactories, and they all show up correctly now.
The EED cat/dat needs to be installed to a lower number than the xrm, as per the instructions in the OP.
Unfortunately, the universe will have not been created correctly with EED blocking the xrm, so you'll have to restart your game after removing the EED cat/dat.
