eh, just want to point out that I'm using IE and XRM is working normally, a part from the fried egg bug that is :lol:

Yes, but he clearly has IE at a higher numbered cat/dat so its universe file is overriding the xrm.

IE must be installed to a lower numbered cat/dat.

IIRC Dark Space is a Terran corporation with criminal links. Its the only terran corporation that's ever been named in the game, hence its the one we've used.

The reason I've not bothered with the Aamon Prototype is that it just uses a standard eclipse (or was it nova?) model so is not really unique at all and did it even feature in a plot in the end? Its just a waste of a spare betty name if you ask me. I could use the name "Aamon" for a new terran ship...

It uses elite model. And remind me... what's happened with this ship. Is he present in XRM at all? And I believe expnobody has some nice fighter/small ship models so that name won't go to waste.

Eurus is in XRM:AP, think from OTAS shipyard IIRC. Not sure about TC.

Yeah it's at OTAS shipyard. I've been looking at the ship shopping list since I started again closely; funny how you go from billions in the morning to weighing the pros and cons of splurging for navigational command software in the evening :D

Couple of things:

Just started playing AP (was waiting for XRM to be released for it) and noticed a big problem. While it is really cool to watch to Terrans wreck the shit of the Argon fleet, it stops becoming enjoyable when they obliterate half of the stations in Omicron Lyrae. Is there any way that the behavior of the warring factions could be changed so that they only attack each other's ships and not their stations? Besides, it seems like it would make more sense to capture stations rather than destroy them.

Second: Is there any mod out there for AP that will let me view a complete sector map (ships and all) while I am docked at a station? Even if it is only within the range of my ship's sensors, I need some way of knowing when danger has passed. As I type this, I am in a Mercury Hauler in Scale Plate Green and am waiting for a Pirate and Xenon threat to pass before setting out again. Right now, the only way I can see if they are still there is if I undock, but every time I undock, they seem to be attracted like a magnet to me and proceed to turn me into scrap metal.

Don't think there's a mod that does that... just get one of your fleet ships to come into sector so you can get a peek and run when possible... ideally move to Argon core sectors up in the north-west corner... safer if you're just starting out.

That model is used for the Notus in xrm.

The eurus uses the elite model at the moment.

First - that is the way the war is designed. The terrans need an objective and capturing stations would mean alot of complicated scripting which is not what the xrm is about.

If you want to stop it:

Destroy the command ship to stop the current invasion, then destroy McCallum Station. This stops the main invasion task force from respawning.
Second - there is no way to do that except place a satellite in the sector.

Fixed my game - you were of course right about Immersive Environment load order - I must have read the FAQ wrong. All appears to be functioning as intended, except the Stock Markets have all disappeared - is that a feature of XRM or because I chose custom start? No real biggy though, cos I find they're a bit too easy mode for making cash.

On that note maybe you could look over that section in the FAQ Paul to make sure that what Ive wrote is correct. I based everything on what advice had been previously given in the forum but I might have messed something up!

huh? there's connection between the station with the invasion force? :o what's the story on this? and what will happen if you destroy both? no more war? how about the argon side, is there a station that can stop the invasion too?



btw I've been trying to set up another ST in Uranus 2, problem is, there's often pirates there... and there's lack of local police there... how to deal with it?

and btw why do I feel my lone UT not as good as they were in TC? I have this lvl 13 baldric UT that just operating near PTNI HQ - Omicron Lyrae area, he never go to Argon Prime or Kingdom's End despite he have a jumpdrive and ecells :? :? :? wtf? the same UT in TC would have been everywhere!

also how do I blacklist sectors for trader?

Recon drones.

Recon drones have been fixed and are fully working and very useful in AP; for this to work they have builtin Explorer Command software and shield. Warelistid 136.

Apparently you have simply copied the freight drone entry?
Because their speed and cargo is totally wrong, too.

There's a massive galaxy war going on between the Terrans and Argons. You have a Terran freighter and you want it to go to an Argon Core world. Somehow, somewhere; something must not think that's a very safe plan.

Is MARS command software sold much more exclusively now or have I installed it incorrectly like several other things? EDIT Yes I had it installed correctly wonderful it's two million fking credits. You guys have really ruined my BUY IT ALL AND MAYBE IT WILL COME OF USE IN 8 DAYS BUT NOT REALLY AND I'LL NEVER REMEMBER HAVING SUPPLY COMMAND SOFTWARE approach to this game.. :)

What if instead of writing out a full-on station boarding script, you made a simple one that changes the ownership of the stations after one side pushes the other past the gate?

Instead of having to destroy all ships and stations in a sector to progress, they only have to destroy the enemy ships.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

I'm both the hero of the federation and solar sentinel, so they both have to shake hands and let me do business :lol:

I had it installed in the Terran Conflict folder and I'm running Albion. I r dum. :)
Ah, I suspect it may have something to do with AP itself. UTs work funny in vanilla with the war..


And on that note I'd really like to ask how to install Bounce. I've read the instructions in the OP but I don't want to muck everything up. Do I rename the dat/cat files as a higher number than XRM or a lower number? Or is it somehow incompatible?

I refuse to use a fleet without bounce enabled :P
