got couple of questions / points....

1) OOS combat, ive been watching treasure chest on and off for hours now and the only terran ship in that sector is the Bragi command ship. its up against 2 daedalus an atlas and 3 titans with cyclopses etc etc all engaging it and neither side seems to be winning or loosing. The only change ive made that could effect this is the sheild loadouts for capital ships which i have doubled for all m1/m2/m7, obviously OOS combat will be slower because of this but 1 m2+ against a whole fleet should get woned within minutes. its still going on now with no resolution.

2) i am in sector circle of labout watching an mmbr terran invasion. all the stations are history but there are argon military titans automaticly spawning as soona sthe last argon ship is destroyed in sector. rearguard setting are off and this has also been going on for hours and hours. every time the last argon ship is destroyed another jumps in in a random sector position. ive also seen argon ships doing point to point jumps in sector (with no jump beacons) and then jumping out and coming back in a few minutes. So i question realy for paul is this behaviur part of your war script at all, i aknowldge the fact i am using mmbr but without rear guard ships the argons should not have an endless supply of reinforcements. This is effectivly stopping the terrans from claiming the sector.

Should it now? Or you think maybe Ego devised OOS formulas taking into account current maximal shielding loadouts of biggest vessels, and by changing thet you've messed up OOS ship balance calculations ;)

Is MBRR only major race behavior script you use?

1) if that was the case why hasnt XRM completly fubared AP with all the changes it makes to sheilds and weapons! ;) I would expect it to be different but not an unwinable situation for both sides lol

2)yaki armada and pirates guild 3 both of which are compatible with mmbr as they do different things. Sector takeover is working other wise, i get msg's sent to me when a race claims a sector. these invasions all work correctly. it seems to be the terrans which dont but the issue for me is still the random titans jumping in which dont seem to be directly related to mmbr rearguard at least and i dont think god pumps them out at shipyards this fast. The naming seems very similar to AP Vanilla IE "Argon Military Titan". The other option i am exploring is that MMBR is trying to use a terran TL clas without ST capability and so cannot build a terran station to claim the sector. Ive changed all Terran TL's to ST to test this as the tepukai was not ST size cargo.

also see what you guys think of this baring in mind the mods i am running lol

apart from the issues above all aspects of XRM and the other mods are functioning correctly. The universe also seems active so the scripts being low is a bit of a strange one considering for one the amount of military operations going on lol. the new game started at 12000 and that is after about 24 hours real time play both in and out of seta.

Somethings not right.

Its good you pointed this out. The running tasks in my new game are slowly declining. I started at 13500 and they are nearing 10000 rapidly. I am used to seeing this number idle +/- 1000.

I am not using MBRR so that couldn't be the culprit, assuming I am having the same issue.

Stupid hostile laser towers :/ I only have my starter Sirokos too and I'm very low on cash so it's not like I can kill them and repair the rep or just send a shipment of squash mines to them.

Can't wait for them to patch that in AP~

Question- I was in love with the Griffon recently and I'd really like to get another small hanger M7. What ships come to mind in XRM when you read that?

Ummmmmm... my total script tasks goes between 155-217 atm :O (And my system almost freezes entering Circle of Labour).

Got Phenom 940 Black with 8Gb Ram and 4870 GPU....

see this is what im saying something is not right with circle of labour or script tasks lol i used to have a problem with script tasks increasing lol not decreasing. the game still slows down abit the more i play aswell even with the low script count. with only 300 scripts running the universe should be empty lol

is the terran fleet in that sector. if so a pause /freeze as you enter would be normal with that many ships.

but to be honest the universe is still active and definetly more than 300 ships doing stuff. mabye its justa bug with the counter that tells you how many scrips are running but inreality the game is still running 12000 scripts.

I don't think that's entirely necessary.

Run your test again, but throw in 20 or so Ms on the Xenon side.

Remember, sometimes you just need to fight fire with fire.

On the subject of corvette sentinels, at a glance it seems like their stats are all very, very similar (particularly in their gun setups). It feels as though there's a lot of room to create some variation within the sentinel line.

But I admit I haven't used every one extensively.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

Yaki Kariudo.
That little puppy seriously kicks ass in XRM. Love it.
Not easy to acquire though because boarding defenses are... well... lets just say "present" in XRM and the death toll of average marines is significant.

Takes ages to reverse engineer and rebuild though but I guess this is the only ship type I will ever be producing in XRM anyway. :wink:

I'm contemplating installing this mod, however I haven't yet played the Albion Prelude plot through.

Can I still start and play the plot through with this mod?

Nope.

XRM disables the AP plot. There are plans to re-enable it, but that's for a future version of the mod.

Oops, I haven't started the war yet but i am already Terran Senator and almost Argon Hero :/ Shame I can't spy for the Argons :(

Speaking of the Yaki...
Never seen any of their M7/M1/M2 outside their home town.
Or I think I have seen Ryu + Escort in Savage Spur at times but usually the Paranid destroyers show them the door in there and this is as far as they come.
Are the "vanilla" AP:XRM Yaki (lol) supposed to go outside their own territory on a hunt/raid?

I've been thinking since installing.. my eye sight isn't the greatest. Is there any simple way to increase the size of icons on sector maps by about 10%?

Edit- what is it today, i've played almost 150 hours of AP so far and for the first and second times the laser tower bug happened. Gonna make me install the cheat script to make stupid LTs friendly :/
