The bounty system will work, and you can do bounty checks on specific ships. You just can't view the entire list of bounties from each race in TC.

I really cannot stress enough that the improvements in AP are well worth the asking price. I would seriously recommend anyone running the XRM upgrade to AP. New XRM content is going to become more and more AP exclusive as there is more flexibility in the AP engine.

I'm beginning to come close to having to make that tough decision. Continuing development for both TC and AP is slowing down the rate of me putting out new content simply because I have to do everything twice (not to mention that is how mistakes are made - having two versions of every file can get very confusing). Also, the TC engine simply can't do some of the things the AP engine is capable of, which again is holding things back.

Maybe its time to put the TC version to bed and say all new content is going to be AP only...
First, let me say how much I appreciate XRM for TC. It truly is a spectacular mod, brings much needed 'life' to the game.

Having said that, I'm stuck with TC (for now). While I'd love to go get AP and give it a whirl, I'm one of those pesky strange Linux users. I quite happily enjoy TC through WINE, and it works ( for a lack of a better word ), perfectly.

I understand how developing for two version would take it's toll... I'm sure the AP users don't want to see any delay in content. Perhaps something like a 'final' XRM for TC may be the way? As in a version with working Intel network & bounty display for the antiquated TC?

Just an idea.

I'm not leaving TC unless I complete ALL plots.

By the way, I'd like to re-download 1.17 main file +1.17d patch for TC of course. Is it possible? This is really important to me.

Hi Paul,

Just been messing with the new 1.18 version and some bugs...i still play the TC version.

Both the Nagoya and Bragi top left turrets don't fire still.

The Bragi's bottom forward turret is still out of position slightly (needs moving a tad forward)

The Medusa Vanguard cant be bought anywhere.

Oh and the M/AM...did it get a new effect, if it has its not in the TC version.

But other than that its all looks great as normal.

Hmm weird, in 1.17 I have medusa Van. available for purchase in all good Paranid docks.

Try the plugin manager, there is walthrough - te plugin manager works without problems (latest versions).

Oh, Sork: you're going to be so disappointed with what you find.

If you've done Terran Plot 1.0, The Hub and HQ plots, and Final Fury, you've pretty much done it all.

The newer plots are so dreadful that I don't even know why they bothered.

I forgot the Nagoya fix in the TC version - I'll sort it for the next.

I wasn't aware of any issue with the Bragi turrets - there's certainly no obvious typo as there was for the Nagoya...

Medusa Vanguard should be available... are you certain you ran the 1.16 to 1.17 patch? This should have added them.

I'm going to look at the M/AM effect again for 1.19 anyway.

Anyways is it possible to use newly updated hull pack with older XRM version? Or maybe I need a hull packs for 1.17 as well ?

I have only Terran Plot and Final Fury under my belt :( Right now I'm doing The Hub with eased difficulty mod, because I don't feel like creating spaghetti complexes and gathering uber amounts of resources.

You need the hull packs too:

Hull Multiplying Pack - LOW
Hull Multiplying Pack - MEDIUM
Hull Multiplying Pack - HIGH

Terran Plot 2.0 is basically THAT with some FedEx quests.

Great stuff! A nice overview of both ships. :wink:

I'd definitely suggest using a ship where you can't see the hull from the camera position. I believe Metalvenom did a guide for taking videos in X3... Not sure where its posted though.

Forgot to mention when I posted the AP 1.1 RRF files - You will also need to disable automatic updating for AP, otherwise Steam will detect the old files and overwrite them.

I'm not leaving TC yet either, I don't abandon game in the middle of it, but I won't mind if you finish xrm.tc mod development, and make that final, stable and -that's all folks- last tc version. Of course stability issues could be transferred back, bugs etc but not new content.

Frankly, XRM.TC is/was finished product for a certain time now. New features are nice but not crucial. I'll miss new models from expnobody the most. Sometimes upgrading and downloading constantly can be major pain in the ass. I just want to be left to play in peace sometimes ;)
