Started as a Terran. I have a bunch of "Federal Argon Shipyards" in Terran space with most of them only selling Omega Torpedos.
One of these Argon shipyards I see is selling PAR ships. Plus I haven't seen any ATF? I'm assuming a mod is causing this. What type of script should i be looking for as the culprit? Most of my mods are from the creators of MARS and Codea, Improved races and some scripts that add commands and improve trade.
EDIT: resolved. Lowering Complex cleaner .dat fixed the problem.

1940s - Various "computers" are "programmed" using direct wiring and switches. Engineers do this in order to avoid the tabs vs spaces debate.

EDIT: It was the mod complex cleaner. Those dats in those files got me thinking so thanks for pointing me in that direction, saved a lot of time.

So whats everyones favorite fighter to fly for personal ships? Right now iv been using an eclipse, since thats what I started the game with, however, the more I fly it the more I realise its slow, and not meant for chasing enemies, infact its only good as a defensive ship, letting them "come to you."
Toying with the idea of getting a split mamba raider, something fast that can actually dodge incoming fire and a bit more twitchy to pilot. Strafing and spinning with an eclipse seems to be a waste of time.
Also, are there any fighters that can somewhat mitigate the damaging effects of flak thru speed and maneuvering ? I know flak is an anti fighter weapon, but when my eclipse gets within the magic range of flak arrays, I feel as if if my ship takes damage over time until it blows up, in other words, flak ALWAYS hits, atleast on my eclipse. Will flying a faster ship help, or is going inrange of a capital as a fighter generally not advised.

I don't fly fighters very much in XRM; I'm more using them in AI-controlled wings.
The only one I've personally flown at length is the Enhanced Kea Experimental from the Tormented Teladi start. It isn't the flashiest ship, but it's awfully practical.

Would the blastclaw prototype be a good one to try? I think theres one hidden in one of the pirate sectors, if i recall correctly, just dont remember the name ,was somewhere south on the map.Iceciro wrote:I like the Xperimental fighter and the LX. If its not there, then you have missed copying the scripts from part 2 in to your addon/scripts folder.
In any case, recopy the scripts just to be sure.

Damn, i hate mass drivers, that and flak arrays. Lol, seriously two most overpowered weps in xrm. Yeah mass drivers are the number one killer of my oos traders. Not only do they kill way fast oos, but the emergency jump doesnt take effect because the snield threashold isnt being reached. Doh, talk about being owned.KloHunt3r wrote:Yes.
