I meant the controls menu as in Options->Controls. And I looked there, the commands are in none of the tabs (ie neither controls, game or interface).
Then something must be wrong with your install unfortunately...

The XRM does not touch the rep system.

and STO works fine with XRM. in the STO control panel, just declare war on the sector owner and you'll be at the level necessary to take over a sector. Just make sure you dont do it if you already have taken over a sector. Weird things might happen like not being able to take over any other sectors despite being -5 with the owner.

Anyone familiar with XRM know what the derelict ship is in the unkown sector you are sent to when you use the unfocused jump drive ? You can't target it and thus you can't take it over or scan it or anything. But you can destroy it. It's huge and I was wondering what the ship was.



EDIT: damn. It's an Aran and i blew it up. Didn't know about the process of making it hostile so i can board it :(

If you can't see the hotkeys, you have not copied the scripts from the scripts_ap folder in part 2 into your addon/scripts folder in your x3 installation.

Youll need to restart your game once you have fixed the problem.
Ah, ok I added the downloaded files scripts into the addon folder scripts file. Thanks

Wow soon as I put the files in BANG! ships everywhere :) and all working.

you need to dock with the stockmarket station, as you have to buy your way in, when accepted you have to wait for the next part, I havent had any problems with it, just a bit of a wait between tasks.

ok, you know, forget the nerfed ships and the prices. lets concentrate on the missiles

There is no "carefull" in battles, not with those missiles spammed at almost every battle by friendlies. missiles will fly around the ship im trying to kill. if they hit Im dead if I leave I loose the ship I want to kill or to capture. the rarest of outcomes is that I manage to kill the ship im tailing and the missile harmlesly self destructs.

Its not like I can be carefull or skilled. I either go to fight and die or I dont fight at all. all talies are always being chased by these uber missiles.

They are broken. And im not over exaggerating. the thing is exactly how I described it

That is part AFTER stock market docking. Something is broken with this plot. I also have this issue.

Another question: When I start on terran sectors I get a message from "United Space Command" which only says "TextIDNotFound". The same message also appears when I start in an Argon sector, only this time it comes form "Federal Argon military command". Is this normal?

I have a few questions about X3 Rebalance Mod to help clear up some confusion I have.

Can X3 Rebalance Mod be used along with the Egosoft Bonus Material: X-Tended Terran Conflict Mod and X3TC All In One Bonus Package?

Also, I want to play this from a clean install of X3TC/AP without using Steam. I’ve found the NoSteam file for AP on the Egosoft downloads site (in the bonus material section) but can’t find NoSteam for TC anywhere. Can someone pleas provide a link for that file?

What mods are you using? I have the standard AP 3.1 update and the uptodate XRM, if you have this try starting a new game. After I docked I got the next stage, it was to aquire shares from someone in the SOL system, after that just the usual bits and bobs to do.

After "fixing" my XRM I have some extra stuff going on, one is using the SETA I get dust particles at 1000x this slows my pc down, what file do I need to delete to dumb it down abit? As before I didnt put scripts files in the right place and I didnt have the dust and pc was running fast.

It's generally considered that seta shouldn't be used at higher than 6x with XRM, because going higher can sometimes cause scripts to not execute correctly. I know it's not really a solution to your problem.

No - this usually means either you have not copied the scripts from the scripts_ap folder in part 2 into your addon/scripts folder or you have not copied xrminst.xml file into your addon/director folder.

I believe that there isn't a no steam exe for TC.

This is a bug in the x3 engine - it does it in vanilla as well but the engine trails are black so its not so obvious. The only fix is to reduce your seta rate.

I'm banging my head against the wall here. Supposedly when you find an aran ship you should be able to get out in your space suit, get up to it and fire your repair laser for a bit and it turns hostile ... I've been firing repair lasers at it with my space suit, with a ship i had in my docking bay that had many repair lasers.. for an hour. I can't get seta to work with any kind of firing key (even with default controls) but it seems like this part of the process should have been pretty quick. Did XRM somehow nullify this method of acquiring an aran?


I even crashed a drone ship against it and still ...it's not hostile to me.


Edit:

apparently my reticule wasn't turning red but the music did change (but i had my volume off). It was extremely amusing to see this massive ship docked with my kyoto. Talk about a fleet transporter. Heh, by the time i figured out i could utilize the piracy option in a proper ship that fires off boarding pods, the hull of the big guy was 100%

I used the XRM backgrounds so far, but I'd like to switch to IEX. Can I safely do so?

Edit : it works, but requires a restart to fully enjoy it.
