X3 TC version (I have AP installed - but this is a TC game). I have XRM, SMART, Pirate Guild 3, Anarkis Defense System mods installed. The bonus pack too. Nothing else that I can think of. Here is my issue:

The terran "noob" weapon (for M5 Rapier - sorry I forget the name) is not to be found anyplace in Terran space for sale. Also - I got to the plot level where you are gifted 3 Rapier "drones" to help you on a mission. All 3 spawned with 5x1MJ shields, some tunings, and no weapons. This weapon that I cant buy anywhere is the only one they can fit. Is this intentional? If not, can I fix it? I can always sell them and use a discoverer or something, but I kinda like the Rapier's shielding and look.

Generally, all guns are extremely scarce. There seem to be a reasonable amount of PACs, but almost nothing of everything else. Do I just need to squat a TS at one of the factories and buy them as they are made, or is there something larger here I dont understand. I know it may be necessary, but I am not real fond of the idea of having to build all of my own weapon factories to have to outfit my ships.

You should see factories for all weapons and also weapon dealers stations - if you are not seeing this, then something is wrong with your installation and you are not seeing the XRM universe map, or you have a TFactories conflict.

Do you see all the XRM added sectors? If the sectors are there - are you seeing Argon Shipyards everywhere? This would indicate a TFactories conflict (most of the time this is due to people leaving the Bounce cat/dat installed - this should be removed).

You will need to restart your game once you find the problem.

I rarely get reports of crashes with the XRM. CTDs are normally caused by scripts rather than mods. If you were getting CTDs with vanilla, then its likely there is something wrong with your system - maybe a codec issue? I suggest looking at the technical support board for clues.

Oh... Fine... Its seems to be only patch 3.0 reason, but i cant find anywhere patch from 2.0 to 3.0... In the meantime I will fly in ghost Cheetah. Thanks a lot for quick response.

It's unlikely, but is there any way to get Cadius's X-Tra ships to work with XRM?

I know XRM already incorporates most of the mod, but I'd like to be able to get some of the model replacements in that pack, in particular the ones for the Yaki Capitals.

I think I am seeing the new XRM sectors, at least your map I downloaded matches so far. I am seeing Argon Shipyards (even in other races sectors) everywhere that just sell "Omega Torpedo." I always thought that was curious.

I wonder what I did wrong with the install? Ill look at it and report back if I figure out the problem. Thank you for the help and the great mod!

EDIT: by bounce, are you talking about the "no rep loss" mod? I do have that installed, but it just looks like a script. I dont think there is a cat/dat associated with it. If it is just a script can I simply uninstall it or do i need to restart no matter what?

I opened plugin manager and this is full list:

If you're seeing Argon Shipyards everywhere but the new sectors are appearing OK, you have a TFactories conflict.

You will need to look at everything you have installed to find out which one alters TFactories, then remove it and restart your game.

Check the compatibility notes section on the first page of this thread for some lists of what is compatible and any special installation instructions.

Thanks. Will do. I did check the compatibility for everything I installed I thought, but I must have missed one. I will restart. Such are the risks of modding. :)

Was it prefixed with the race name? I need a Paranid Crystal Fab M and can't find one anywhere! I got a generic one from a showroom in Paranid space and it hasn't completed my mission :/

Looks like my problem was the complex cleaner mod. I had installed it, but didnt think I activate it. Looks like I did. I unchecked it, deleted all of its components and restarted.

So now I have weapons factories and showrooms and orbital bases with full loads of wares and weapons, etc. Seems like it is fixed. Thank you!

Does anyone know where i can find the tractor beam? There are no factories for it in Third Redemption

I can't remember off-hand. If there an entry for it in your Argonopedia, that may say what stations make or sell it.

If Tractor Beams are only sold by the rare racial research station (I can't remember) then the location of those stations randomises around the galaxy from game-to-game and they move from time-to-time within the galaxy.

Someone had music problems? All sounds are fine, but only one sector have its music - Black Hole Sun - and only when location is safe - no missiles around or other enemy scrap?

a weird thing happened or is happening. I deleted out the XTC mod and the game completely and made a new version, first from the steam site then with the rebalance mod again. I like more of the ships there so went back to that. In my previous version every heavy fighter dropped lots and lots of missiles, sometimes up to 20 in a crate, so many I carried up to 100 disruptor at a time. Now I'm running around in a wrecked paranid destroyer I found in Boron space..way out there, using the salvage claim suite.I'm fixing it up but see that even when I kill a dozen fighters, the average missile drop is 1...maybe 3 sometimes, never more.

The bombers in missions aren't firing any missiles either using their guns instead, and went in and redid the special link I got for that in the one mod file and it still the same.There is a war going no with the khaak they are everywhere in big numbers and destroyers and carriers are attacking sectors several places.

I checked and double checked all the files and they went in correctly, and yes, I'm using the steam file folder, it worked before since I use it as an administrator.And the steam cloud is disabled so I'm not getting any bleed in from the old XTC mod I just deleted. the only other addons I'm using are marine repairs/training ,salvage claim suite,space loot transporter...thats it I think. I dont know what I did but this is a different game than the last time I played rebalance..not a bad game but definitely different. :roll:

When you installed Part 3... you did merge the "soundtracks" folder with the original didn't you? - you didn't replace it?

Well something definitely isn't right. I suggest starting from a completely clean install of X3 rather than one that has previously had other mods installed.

I've just drag&drop soundtrack folder from XRM_part_3.zip to main X3 folder (with .exe's) ... ow.... wait... I've just red very, very carefully installation instructuons.... ow crap, can I revert this operation in some way?

PS. I have old package with AP v2.0 (actually have AP v3.1) and folder inside called soundtrack have much more files inside... Shall I copy its content inside game soundtrack folder?

hey Paul hows it going? OK heres the thing...DID make this on a new install...3 times...found a folder with the XTC stuff in it I missed so had to throw everything out and start again. Then checked every ego file everywhere and threw out everything down to zero and started again, even new dl of the mod files. After 3 tries got nothing but the rebalance mod load screens and info, but still not right when playing, its like a hybrid between the XTC mod and Rebalance...not a bad thing its just a little different from either, but runs smooth and stable. This is a new install, used the steam uninstall and manually threw out every ego file I found and started over, and this is what I got. Not sure what went wrong went over and checked and reloaded all 3 mod folders and the special file for bombers and M7Ms oh well... :roll:
