Can anyone help with hosting? The free file hosting services are not really ideal for a mod with so many large files... I really need a host that I can ftp to with decent bandwidth limits.
Hello Paul,

I did upload all your files to my onedrive.
If you want you can use it as a mirror, because I won't delete them for a long, long time.

here is the link:

Greetzzz, and thanks for this great mod.

Can I sell my Mammoth?

Post by Otterbear »

Sorry if this isn't posted in the "correct" spot. Frankly I didn't see a "general discussion" thread for Albion Prelude. (sorry).

I recently purchased an Argon Mammoth, fully loaded, for -24 million credits...(yes that minus sign is correct...I was PAID 24 million just for buying it.) :D

However, I don't need it. But I cannot get rid of it. I try docking it at a shipyard, but it never gives the "Trade"/ Sell option. In fact it doesn't even show in the "Docked Ships" category. *I've tried at several SY and custom shops. I can neither upgrade nor sell. I cannot use it to transfer stations/factories as it doesn't show up...I just get a "transfer to?" with a blank slate although the ship is Docked there...or at least it has sent me the message that is Was. I can't even access the "trade" option from the message either. It certainly looks docked.
I've spent the greater part of my weekend trying to find an answer to this question, but to no avail. :gruebel:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS:Running XRM mod.

The X3: AP star map from the first post of this thread doesn't seem to be exactly correct. There is a sector south of "Mandalay", "Credits received". The linked sector map shows it in another place.

Two questions:
1. Are you flying it yourself?
2. Do you have trading system extension installed in your current ship?

No - I'm not flying it myself. It is not my only ship. (though that could cause this problem I guess.)

Yes - I do have the trading system extension installed on current ship(Nexus). I have tried trading/selling this ship while personally being docked at the same station and NOT being docked with the same station. I may have to be glad for the 24 million credits and just "cheat" it out of existence.

I can't even get it to fly to another sector...it won't go through the warpgates.

@Otterbear:

Have you tried to clone that ship? Who knows, maybe smth. is bugged with it.

@paul:

Got a quick question. Since you mentioned you were going to fix the ship building costs, have you maybe considered changing those ressource requirements toward the "race" inclination. What i mean is: no more "cloth rimes" for other alien ships as requirement, but rather their own, "natural" products, and/or increase in ressources cost as a compensation for those.
And here the why:
1. So, without contact with Argon, none of the races would be able to build their ships due to lack of those "cloth rimes"?
2. In game reason: i hate it to be forced to make friends with Argons for example, when playing as a "Savage Split". Buying those ressources instead of producing them is tedious, and also see reason #1.

Thanks in advance.

You are indeed correct. I will get the map fixed when I can (this sector was where the map states in TC - it was moved for AP. For some reason the map has picked up the old position).

I have indeed considered this. Its a fair bit of work - I'll put it on the list.

I've heard it once of twice in the past. I think it was after activating autopilot or something like that. I think it was contextual but just for flavour.

How can i see the what kind of ships can dock in ship hangars? The ship list stats only provide the number of ships that can dock but not the kind of ships.
I bought a Deimos because i saw it had a M6 hanger but it seems it can only dock one M6 or a big transport and not both at the same time. Im guessing it has only one "big" hanger and the other 9 slots are for smaller craft but how does this work with other ships?

It also doesn't come in every Khaak fight, only on quite a few occasions. So this isn't doing anything?

The ship description mentions the exact docking capacities on some ships. You can access them with the keys Z, U or via the ingame encyclopedia.

Please forgive me if this has been asked before.

Most Laser towers seem to spawn as my enemy, even in sectors where I have High recognition. How do I deal with them attacking my trade ships and causing "international incidents"..and loss of rep. ect?

Its becoming a real pain in the posterior, having to cheat my relations back to normal.

Thanks again to all who have helped and those that may.

Has anyone had any trouble getting this mod to work after install? When I load up, it has a normal load time, the new key bindings and scripts are there, but nothing has changed. Everything is exactly how it was, other than the pop up saying the mod has loaded. Vanilla starts are also the only starts available.

I've tried re-installing the mod several times, making sure that 05.dat/cat were named correctly, AP scripts were copied over to scripts folder, and everything was done to the T; I'm not sure what else I can do.

@ AbaddonReq: Have you selected the mod in the mods options from the small opening splash screen? (If you did not use the fake patch method.)

You did put the AP mod scripts etc into the 'addon' folder locations and not into the X3TC root folder locations?

"Select mod package" is greyed out, and yes I added them to the "addon" scripts. Not sure why it isn't working.

"X³: Albion Prelude 3.0 NoSteam.exe" Download shows access denied lol Maybe it's not meant to be...

Edit: I figured that issue out, registry was needed, fixed that and downloaded it.

Edit 2: I installed the mod packages in the new folder, launched from No_steam and got the same results.
