Actually no, it automatically renames the XRM cat/dat files to the highest number. If there are already 04.cat/dat and 05.cat/dat in the X3 directory, the XRM files will be called 06 and 07 and so on.

It gets borky when you have a mod which requires a specific ordering of the cats/dats of course.

Hi there, just curious is there any way of removing the Terrans?

When i mean remove them i dont mean trying to destroy them in game seeing the game would respawn stations ect, What i mean is to pretty much remove there stations and patrols (apart from a shipyard in a distant sector so there ships+stations are still purchasable)

The reason is there systems are huge and look stunning but due to the size and shape of some terran stations they are pretty annoying having the AI pilot your ships in there systems, Having the sol system blank would give the player a chance to build and populate it themselves.

Just thought it would be a cool idea, having a bunch of empty sectors to do as you please especialy seeing the terrans tend to shoot any commonwealth ships which enter

Is this a possibility with some minor editing?

Hi! I've encountered the following situation playing XRM:
I've started as "cunning charlatan", completed Boron version of hub plot then improved standing with Terran to +1. After that the hub was removed from my control and the Terran version of hub plot has been initiated. As I understand from reading this it's because xrm enabling both hub plots to be played in the same game. But this is not the problem itself, it's just the beginning. Starting from the moment when the hub was taken from my control my account began to increase by 10 millions every minute (I don't have any factories and/or galaxy traders and the account grows by 10 mills exactly). I'm playing X3AP version 3.1. The only mods I use alongside XRM are "pure x hud " and "Ranks for Xenon, Kha'ak, Pirates and Yaki". I also have cheats menu and script editor enabled but I suppose they have nothing to do with a problem. Is there any way to fix this?

lost extensions

long time X fan. only recently decided to try xrm.
gotta say it's pretty cool ^^

ran into a problem though.

my hard drive went bad on me, but fortunately i was able to save some data, including my saves. i'm 99.99% sure i reinstalled everything exactly as before. i only had xrm and docking computer mod so wasn't hard to retrace my steps.

anyway, i restarted with my saves and everything looked good at first. one of my freighters said he was done and i wasn't expecting him to stop his command. but i looked in his cargo bay to find it had absolutely no extensions.


so i looked further and none of my ships did!! 0o

should i try reinstalliing? or am i just SOL?

either way, thanks for the awesome mod and your valuable time! :)


Post Script, it's worse than i thought. wares are listed at stations but extensions and such are not. just a blank space and blank money. ???

Where can I find these Xenon MK I ships? Are they only accessible via the script editor or can I really fight or even buy them?

my saves are XRM. otherwise yes i would have to start a new game if they were vanilla.

anyway thank you for the response. as it turns out, i'm having trouble installing the mod.

i get a good install of game and bonus pack, but when i install the mod and start a new game to check it, i am missing wares.

did i get a corrupted file when i re downloaded the part' files? am i missing something?

problem fixed by deleting the mod files and downloading them again, then reinstalling them.

musta corrupted a file during last download. :(

Low fps on all research center station

Hi all,

I recently reinstalled XRM+IEX on x3ap, and I met a big problem with low fps on all research stations and on boron dock equipment ( same type as the research center, This station is like a big mushroom ) when i'm docking in station.

This problem appears just when I enter the station and disappear just before reaching the green light in the interior of the station.

The fps drop from 60+ fps to 2-3 fps when I 'm docking in station, no problem when docking out. I can fly around with no fps prob but when docking... :(

This Fps problem are only on there station, all other are good.

Anyone have the same pb ?

My conf :

i7 3770k
ATI 7950 ( i know that ATi drivers have some Pb with X3xx ) @1680*1050
Win 7 64
16Go ram
Raid 0 on raptor 10k

DO the new ships have a full audio description from Betty?

I'm getting no error or anything but I turned on subtitles and am seeing a huge description when clicking "info" on any of the ships but with no audio, wondered if I had installed the audio pack wrong.

All other sounds such as the new names & MkII etc are sounding normal.

I'm having a really tough time with textures randomly disappearing. It happens most often in Gate of Aguilar and Grand Exchange.

Here are two examples of what I'm talking about:

Everything else works fine with XRM, just textures randomly get lost and I have to dock/save/reload in order to continue. I haven't found a way to fix it without reloading.

I'm currently running on OSX Steam, Albion Prelude w/Bonus Package, XRM 1.30d, XRM 1.30 Linux patch, Bounce, and Pirate Guild. Any advice?

Also, I tried to register for the other forum http://www.strikingsoftware.com/forum/index.php to post this question but I keep getting a page saying "An Error Has Occurred!" when I register.

Well thats certainly not an XRM issue - looks more like a graphics card problem. Running out of memory perhaps?

No - only names. Betty is a recorded voice, not a synthesized voice, so getting the full descriptions would mean employing the original voice actor. We've managed to get the names working through various editing techniques of the original audio, but descriptions would be impossible.

Never heard of that one before. They are vanilla models, so the XRM isn't causing this.

I wouldn't think so because I'm running 16GB of RAM and a 2GB Graphics Card. But I'll check the Activity Monitor next time it happens and report back. I know my frame rate doesn't drop at all.

If you're positive it's not anything XRM related, it might just be a bug in the OSX version of Albion Prelude. I kinda wonder if it's related to the constant Xenon attacks on those sectors, especially since Xenon J and Xenon I roam them frequently. I don't think you usually see them in vanilla unless you're deep in Xenon territory.

sorry if my english is bad, not my native language

Same for me, just once with the argon one ( who normally, i don't have/see any bug with this cap ship ) when i think i was in sector akeela's beacon ( don't remember because i haven't notified this more than once )

Otherwise, this mod run nearly like a charm in my PC

Spec : Intel core 2 quad
Intel G41
2GB ram
Windows XP

So as paul said, i think it's the graphic card who make the problem, if i run in this problem again, i report back too

Btw yeah, i know, not a warmachine, but i can play this game and this mod even if the FPS drop ( 15/20 FPS and only happens in large battle or some textures who take all the screen ) with all graphic option in low except view distance in medium ^^

First of all, I'm sorry for posting a topic that I'm sure has been answered, but the searching of these forums are daunting and I have not found a satisfactory answer.

I'm a fairly new player. I've gotten through about half of the Terran plot in TC before I added XRM and MARS.

So, I started a new game, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't just play AP if I'm going to be using XRM?

I'm using XRM and MARS.

When following this thread http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=3700456 I create a TShips.txt file for removing the trails in XRM. But the MARS script has another TShips.txt file (I think for repair drones). Should I combine the two in Python? Otherwise, I can't very well put them both in the same folder.

Also, should I be using MDK2 with MARS? I'm still fairly new and a little confused.
