exuse the crap in background... was playing archeage at the time... but you can see it all fine. I fixed the hidden file thing

Ok - you need to copy the contents of "scripts_AP" into your addon/scripts folder as per the installation instructions.

the soundtrack folder from part 3 needs to be installed to the root TC folder, not addon... this is all in the installation instructions. I suggest going through them again, carefully following each stage.

yer done all that 100 times mate. its something els. the game works great when first installed. you can play the base game no worries at all. But second I install a mod it dies..

I have followed each an every rule at least 30 times an every time it crashes. So something I am missing or something is jsut wrong....

wait do you mean the Scripts_AP directory or do I drag the scripts out of it, cos the video says to take scrips out of that directory

I had an idea, I got an install file once off a guy called Willfe on youtube gave me a installed version of XRM, worked relaly nice. But I lost it sadly.

So the soundtrack and scripts_ap folders in your addon folder are empty?

Yes you need to move the scripts from the scripts_ap folder into the scripts folder.

Is your base TC installation clean? It must be a completely vanilla install with no mods at all.

Also, check the types folder in both TC and AP - they must not contain any files (except TWareT if you have the plugin manager installed).

HUGE thanks to Bullwinkle for fixing my MOD problems last night. I cant thank him enough. The guy is a scholar an a gentleman to put it mildly... Numb nut here (me) didn't know you had to run the no.exe in admin mode....

Hi, is it possible to get rid of the alternative war addon and bring back the main argon plot in AP on one's install? Which scripts do I have to remove/modifiy? I finally got down to Albion Prelude and I wanted to use XRM in my first playthrough but... yeah.

It is possible to disable the XRM war - just install the no war addon - but it is not possible to reinstate the vanilla war, except by removing the XRM completely.

Install issues

Hey Guys,

Im nexr to XRM and having issues with the install.
I followed all the instructions and when I run the game (with no mods added to XRM) I have lost all Betty voices.
I copied the files into the mov folder.....deleted the 00044 file.
I named the PART1 files number 20 incase I needed to add anything infront of it (ie other mods).

Any help is appreciated!

Update: My install is a vanilla x3tc from steam copied into another directory.
I havent copied the non-steam.exe from the x3 website.

I was in same boat as you mate, first thing I found out (cheers Bullwinkle) is you need No.exe AND make sure you set it to run in Admin mode.

Its working! :)

Basically upacked everything into a temp as per instructions.
Copied into my vanilla X3TC.
Added the nonsteam.exe.
Ran as admin....and hey presto!

Will now try and add the recommended mods.....

Sorry to drop this question here. No response on the other forum.

I have XRM installed and trying to add the Military Base Response Revamp.
It all looks like its working.....but....

How do I get to the Galactic News System?
I have sector battle news coming up in the notification bar at the bottm of the screen, but when I go to options> Controls>Interfaces....there is no option to set a key etc.
I am running GNS through the Plugin manager as well as all the other required Military Base Response Revamp required mods.

In the controls>Interface I am seeing values :

Not sure why the names arent coming up.

Unfortunately, the zeroes (0) do not give us the clue that we need most, which is the language page.

You previously mentioned trying to install MBRR, which requires ECS and Galaxy News. The ID's 600-604 do not appear to be related to any of those scripts.

What else do you have installed?

OK, Geckomeister. We can rule out XRM, MBRR, ECS, Galaxy News, and the things that cannot possibly have five hotkeys. That leaves:

NPC Bailing Addon
Salvage Commands and NPC
Anarkis Defense System
Anarkis Defense System - Real Wings
Anarkis Libraries
Pirate Guild 3
Salvage Command Suite
Yaki Armada

Are any of those missing hotkeys that should be on your Interface list?

Do you really have both ADS and ADS-RWE installed? ADS-RWE is a superset of ADS, so they would be a likely source of conflict.

Annoying bounty messages

When I decide to take a stroll in a xenon sector I get spammed with messages informing me that I have received a bounty of x cr. for any little thing i kill. This totally spams my message logs and I can hardly find anything else that I needed to know like personal notes or plot relevant messages.
Is there a way to disable them?

sorry for not reading ~1700 pages to find the answer myself :/

My monies on Pirate Guild 3,,, swear I had a few issues with that back in the day!

Just popping my head in to say Hi...

Because I probably will miss any reply Paul have you considered making weapons, ships and missiles and such more company related? Like say the ArmTek Pulse Laser VI or the Gorgon Enterprises: GE Raider as opposed to the Split raider. I always felt the racial ships and weapons felt unrealistic as it would be company made things in a logical sense.
