Ha! I just restarted and had those exact Kha'ak capitals in Argon sector M148. I want to say I started the Argon patriot plot but left while it loaded and got distracted. Came back to the fleet largely ignoring my M3 but had nearly cleared the sector while the Argon fleet chased a Terran TM/M5 'Invasion' in M2s. Good times.
I also might need to figure out some performance tweaks, Playing this on my raid 0 of Sata III SSDs and a GTX680 with a i7 3930k and more ram then all the copies of this game for all the mods I play.
Tends to get choppy in capital battles... but even with the super buttery alternative of LU this is what I am committed to put forth effort to.
At least until BlackArchon adds his XRM to LU ship mod!

Well, it isn't so easy: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=381442
But I continue to learn X3's internals.

That is what I call consequent.
There probably would be the possibility to adjust the jobs file and to reduce pirate spawning that way. However, seeing that the adjusted jobs file and an increased pirate acitivity are main features of the XRM, even advertised in the opening post, I guess uninstalling the mod is indeed the better option for you.

Speaking of awesome pirates, I just tried to zone into agulars's belt (take THAT spelling! ) and got ownt by so many laz towers it looked like a super nova in my cockpit window. So the real question is: are those centaur variets I've been searching for with 30mil burning a hole in my pockets behind it? I can't find a shipyard that sells heavy centaurs or heavy centaur prototypes and assumed it was there.

Awesome! Any idea about the Albion Pride?
Also this research place... would that be only in argon space? I've got the map almost covered but running IR with invasions and the xenon are grabbing the outside sectors with a vengeance. There are few border pirate sectors left and paranid sectors don't care for argon presence (the ones without a strong yaki force that is!) Kinda feels like a late lazy LU start with OCV wiping out factions.
Edit: just to add that's intentional I get more enjoyment out of playing with a very real chance of "losing" and being under a threat.

My encyclopedia says that the Albion Pride can be bought in Albion Gamma.Beyondfubar wrote:Awesome! Any idea about the Albion Pride?

About the stations with a variable location: I don't know the exact algorithm, but I also see these stations in unknown sectors. So for the Jonferco Research Station, I suggest to search Argon and unknown sectors.

Another question though about missiles: the AI seems to have the right method for slapping me with missiles they'd have a great rate of success if I didn't have mdm and mars drones plus turrets. However firing fast moving missiles at their m3/m4/m5's seems to nearly always result in the missile over shooting and circling for another failed attempt. Am I firing to close to the target? Or is my wall file (bounce) interfering somehow?

Picked up a Astraeus last night so much less worried now, PBCS make strike craft in that range much less of an issue. Though I was assuming to use it in more of a heavy interdiction role (I'm not fast enough for this) using it as a 'light' Battlecruiser i.e. outgunning whatever I can catch and out running whatever thinks it can catch me. It has preformed much better in this role: I practiced on clouds of kha'ak with an advanced destroyer mixed in kiting the destroyer and ultimately destroying all the m6/m6+ and hotdropping my magnatar and Zephyr support on the pesky m3s.
I'm guessing a cerberus would have been what I was looking for in a quick light frig for anti fighter patrol work?
