Yes, you are right about Savage Spur circubstances, as i told you in the video i can understand this lag couse i have a Huge complex there and many asteroids in the sector, in fact i bould my complex there so i will use that like a "no fly sector" in which i have just my huge complex and defences.

But the real problem , as you said, is when i engage a great fight going into wars sector, the games becomes unplayable. After the skirmish has finish FPS turn back to normal, but the beauty of this game, after explore, expand, trading, think is to fight , you know :) If i dont find a solution that consent me to fight obviously i will thinking dont play anymore, but i HAVE to find it, i love this game and especially this Paul Wheeler's mod :)

Besides XRM i have installed: Anarkis Defence, Crystal free solar power plants, Complex cleaner, Logain Indstr. energy cells generator for capital ships, docking computer with lockup fix, Improved races 2, MARS turrets defence, Ok traders, Sector map revamped, AP-XRM Universe colored map, X£ Immersive HUD (yet try to uninstall this but nothign changed), Galaxy Explorer, Ring of fire.

I was speaking with a friend of mine yesterday, and like you say he suggested me to switch from i5 2600 3.4 to an i5 6600k :)

XRM is a nice mod full of new ships and details so here is obviously a memory problem, since ram and video memory are ok, i think we can say my problem is the processor, so i think we solved at the moment :)

Just for let you know i will try your patch and reporting you what happend, and when i will bought new processor i will let you know the difference, so maybe this post could help someone else :)

BTW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFj1-juA7Bk here is an other video i made some weeks ago when i was playing another game (no, i wasn't using Appollox here but Centaur :) put the video from 30 seconds becose the first 30 secs i was speaking italian and you will not understand :) as you can see i had no lag in this battle even i had capital ship ATLAS with me, and there wasn't that much ships in the sector, but when i go in a war system or the battle is largest with more ships the lag will grow up very much, worst then in the video of my complex sector)

I also had an XRM game with Improved Races 2.0 which got more and more laggy. Since I had suspected this script for the degrading performance, I didn't use this script in my later XRM games - they really ran better in the long term. In this particular game I enabled the improved sector guarding mechanism of IR which tended to forget ships in sectors (spawned ships remained motionless in space) - this does have an impact on performance.

MARS does also add an additional performance penalty, especially if you enable it for all ships and not only your own.

You may want to run your next XRM game without these scripts because it will really run better.

You can sometimes buy their coordinates via bartering at trading stations adjacent to former Kha'ak sectors (read the sector descriptions carefully).

Relay love this mod first time iv ever mod a game took me hours to work out how to do it but well worth it and a thank you again to the guy who help with the kah'ak sectors have one of the sectors now never barted before now im doing it all the time

Dear BlackArchon, i did not forget you :D i'm finally back with my new i5 6600k, asus Z170 pro gaming, 2144 16gb DDR4 Ram.

6600k Overclocked to 4.5 Ghz with 1.310 voltage.

I have to say the situation is basically changed, i got 60-70 fps in the whole universe, now in Savage Spur, with my 250 stations crunched, asteroids, cargos, yaki in battle vs paranid, and yaki in battle with me, with my 2 orbital stations shooting, without your weapons script (but i WILL install it in few minutes couse i want to try), i get 8-10-15 fps only when i fly too close shooting a yaki corvette, if i keep little bit distances, fps growht to 20-25-30.
The game is defenly PLAYABLE, i try also fly to a war sector, and i got no lag at all while large fleets are fighting, just a few lag in the sector with my complex + battles, but i have to say the situation is hard changed with your suggestions and i finally can play the game, so YES GUYS, problem solved, hopw this post can help someone with the same problem :)

UP: tryed your weapons script, i have 18-20 FPS in full combat against the same yaki corvette, in Savage Spur no lag at all, on my opinion your weapon mod not only increases FPS but makes space battles more realistics on a "star trek way" and no more "lasers falls", awesome! :)]

Problems with installations

One of the features mentioned is that if you keep shields down and have appropriate amount of hacker chips in ship you can attempt to hack ships to eject pilot and take them over.

Now, here's where I'm going to try and tl;dr because I didn't, I would be writing a small book.


When I first install XRM, everything works it would seem, except I do not have the many new "starts" upon trying to make a new game. Not a big deal. Other mysterious thing is: One starting new game, there was not the 1-2 minute pause that is explained to be the game beginning all the necessary jobs and things. (Along with every other consecutive install)

In this installation, I have hacker chips being correctly placed in game world, on pirate stations and such, and the hack ship control key is available.

Somewhere down the line I fugged up my installation while integrating some other mods. Luckily, I am aware of how to organize mods and keep an installation of Albion Prelude ready to reinstall at all times. So I reinstall whole thing, properly like last time, excluding the issues I caused.

Once installing XRM first and foremost of course, I need to start and close, then restart the plugin manager, etc etc.

On every consecutive installation, hackerchips and the system override hacking command is unavailable, including connecting to a military race's network (the hotkey is missing). Other features such as PAR shipyards, the low-CPU intensive dynamic/skirmish a-life, etc, seems to work fine as well as the new set of starting games are available.


I am incredibly confused how I can do the installation the same time following the steps of instructions, yet constantly end up with different results of success.


I've even installed ONLY XRM, to the letter as instructions are explained, and then started the game, to find the hotkey for hacking and hacker chips being no where in the universe of the game. On a brand new, fresh installation. System override software itself IS available at 5+ million credits.


I am at a complete loss. It's not the mods conflicting that I add ontop of XRM (many of which have compatibility as mentioned in OP), seeing as I even tried to get it working by itself on fresh install.

Hi guys, two little questions here (ofc i tried to search but i did not find what i am searching for, sorry if i repeat the questions)

1) I'm playinf like Terran Commander, i builded my huge complex in Blue Horizon (first i tried to built it in Kupier Belt, but randomly a Terran fighter becomed red and attack my complex, i do not commerce in war sector, no weapons on my traders, super good reputation with terrans and so on..dont know why but this is not my main problem, i simply destroyed my complex and rebuilded it in Blue Horizon). I can not sell weapons and shield to Darkspace weapons dealer, why? :) Is a game feature or i mistake something? IF i don't remember badly, when i was playing like Argon Pacekeeper my trader could trade with argons weapons dealers stations without any problem.
2) Aldrin is a super good sector for trading, the main problem is that the traders take 1 hour from the gate to arrive at the selected station in Aldrin, so i was thinking to place some jump beacon near Aldrin stations, i hear in XRM you can find them on a split research station, is this station random placed ? I can't find it :) (i know i can find some j.b. on some ship but i prefear to buy them , they cost like 280 milion i know)

3) little issue with Ok Trader. I dont know if is a Ok Trader issue or just a little malfunction with XRM or i am so idiot to mistake something so i try ask here hoping not annoying you. I have a huge complex, selling about 15 different products, missiles, shields, weapons, laser towers, hull planting, warheads and bla bla bla. I have 30 traders workind for this complex but 10 buys ore and silicon wafer (and is good couse i need that to make my station working) and the other 20 sells like "1/2(7" hull plating for time and at the same time shields, weapons and lasertower remain unselled. Why? I yet try to modify ok trader parameters, min/max stock selling and so on but nothing happened. Still 20 ok traders prefear to sell "1" hull planting then 10 lasertowers..which are in stock ready for be selled, other races station need them, max gate so jump set to "50" (the max) in station parameter, minumum stock for selling "0"%, .

I will post in ok traders thread i wish only know if there is some know issue between XRM and Ok trader :)

1) Did you sell illegal goods in your complex?

2) You will find the secret stations randomly in unkown or their corresponding race sectors. Just keep looking, they relocate after some time.

3 it is definelly a Ok Trader problem i posted in the right thread

1) Absolutelly no :) just missiles, shields and weapons.

My complex is full of everything in stock, terran's orbital defence station are full (couse i sell them everything), at the same time darkspace weapons dealer is finishing it's weapons/shield, and my traders did not dock and trade with it, if i dock personally and try to sell somethings it tell to me "products are not bought", and on my station parameter, where is showed how much jumps are needed to sell that weapon (for example), there is writed "none", it means that all the orbital defence station are full of stock, but the darkspace weapons dealer IS NOT :) My reputation level is "Hero of sol 20%" so i can sleep without problem about that. I remember that when i was playing like argon pacekeeper, i was selling like an animal to the argons weapons dealers, they were always full of stock :)

These weapon dealer stations only sell weapons. They won't buy anything.

So i remember bad , i was pretty sure i was trading with them in Argon game, they was most time full of shield and weapons, better like this, i was in fear there was something broke in my installation. Thankyou!
