I am actually surprised they decided to go the Russian Gov stereotype route for real. Like it was so obvious you would think they come up with something else this time.

They were very quick to announce him being on board though. Too quick. How come the civil aviation authority has a readily available full passenger list of every airplane?

In UK, think EU, and definitely USA - there must be a passenger list filed for every flight to be allowed to take off. Think places like USA also demand the incoming passenger list for arrivals.

It looks like the Wagner group are not happy, as they have been saying on their social media that Prigozhin was killed, this has the potential to go sideways for Putin and not play out the way he wants it too, of course that's if he is responsible which I think everyone is thinking that is so.

It also looks like from the video's of the plane falling out of the sky, that it seems like it is missing one of its wings and wings don't just fall off of aeroplanes, that would explain why it fell back to earth like it did, but how did it loose the wing in the first place that is the million-dollar question.

It's a common misconception that Russian planes need two wings to fly

Would be difficult to try to pin the blame on Ukraine for shooting it down considering it crashed North of Moscow.
Since when did such a thing ever stop the Russians from making such claims?

"Ukraine did it" would be an exciting admission of weakness. I would like to see that

But war supporters tend to resort to "nothing happened, all media lies", then to "they did it themselves".

Of course gotta wait for official command from Kremlin before you can know what the reality is, or "truth" is, as they would say.

Silence is also a common reaction.

Perhaps more useful questions just now might be:
Who is now in charge of Wagner?
How much control over Wagner as a whole can they exert?
What is their orientation regarding direction by the Kremlin?

a very interesting one.

If Wagner was set up like Kremlin, after the dear leader dies, there follows a vacuum and a power struggle.

didn't we also discuss right after the coup that it'd be naive for Wagner to think they wouldn't be hunted down one by one? The ones that could be leaders. That I think is next, if not been happening already

What a career... First 9 (?) years in prison for robbery and other offences. Then caterer and virtually Putin's personal chef. Then mercenary leader, short-term revolutionary - now perhaps dead, but at least in his own private jet. The man has made it in every respect. A true patridiot. ;)

Who is next on Putin's surely long list? Prigozhin's dog, perhaps, who can't bark the Russian national anthem? Stay tuned, because it will still be "exciting".

Yes indeed. Sometimes silence is more meaningful than the usual loud, contentless bluster from the Kremlins. :)

NTV and RTR both posted articles basically saying "yep, that happened", "too early to tell", "a case against not flying safely has been opened" (I am making the last one sound more interesting than it is)

I wonder if trains become more popular method of transport - I recall Kim Jong Ill never flew a plane for some reasons :D

Apart from the train accidents that have occurred in the past.... Trains also have windows from which you can accidentally fall.

And the food there is sometimes so bad that you never know: Was it food poisoning or more than just an attack on good taste? :gruebel:

Actually, flying is still one of the safest means of transport...
...and the most frequent accidents happen at home. Falling out of the window while cleaning for example - or something like that. :gruebel: :gruebel:

Reality of Russia every time when you...
...drink a tea
...pass near open window
...fly a plane

Just now I read or saw the "official" confirmation (the video is in German from BR24, Bayrischer Rundfunk) of Prigozhin's death. Nevertheless, I have a twitch in the back of my mind... the Wagner affine Telegram page was too quick to confirm the death.

Maybe this "death" was the only chance for him and his followers, who were supposedly also on board, to get away alive

Maybe I've just become a bit paranoid about all the untruths the Kremlins have spread so far and will certainly continue to spread. In any case, good for Putin, even if the pathetic patriots and heroes (robbers and murderous gang leaders in reality) will now of course really get going.

Big P. was more human this time.

Rumors say, that a crate of expensive wine was brought to the plane, but maybe it was too high compressed Champagne

I am totally with you. They instantly reported his death, the civil aviation authority instantly revealed him being onboard and he was instantly declared dead.

Did they even bother to check the crash site first? Or were they just reading their scripts?

I have troubles buying it.

If Putin faked this death, we would have Prigozin demeti on telegram in no time.
If Prigozin faked his death, DNA test would found the ruse very fast.

Te only scenario that this could work is, if both Prigozin and Putin agree to fake his death.
This would be russian propaganda copium on greater level, than the take that whole Prigozin coup was secretly staged by Putin as some kind 4d chess move.

and that's more complicated to do for Putin than just to kill him. Dead men don't ever go back on telegram and reach out to their old buddies
