Russia already fired on NATO planes, claimed NATO territory and downed US spy drones. NATO can strike when ever they want but they don't. Offensive action can be deemed defensive anyways.

Suffering from inability to sleep which makes me grumpy but this thing made me chuckle.

Yesterday Houthis hit Chios Lion, a Liberian-flagged, Marshall Islands-owned, Greek-operated crude oil tanker sailing from Tuapse, Russia to China. Initially is was mostly mentioned as side note to the attack on Israeli owned Bentley I (an oil/chemical tanker supposedly transporting vegetable oil from Taman, Russia to China - color me skeptical. Taman has an oil terminal according to google). Both ship communicate - no casualties, no help needed.

Today some pro-Ukrainians talking heads claim that the Chios Lion was part of Russian ghost fleet of oil tankers.

If the above is true - Houthis, supported by Iran which cooperates and is practically allied with Kremlin attacked two oil tankers and probably damaged one of them enough to force it back to retreat, ultimately damaging Kremlin's war chest...

Russian submarine that was hit in September last year while it was in dry dock was hit again today and likely sunk. Hopefully the salt water damages the electronics and stuff. Hopefully the Russian salvage ship is still damaged but likely fixed.

Ukraine keeps hitting oil and fuel depots. Ukraine recently again hit the Tuapse Oil Terminal area which includes a refinery/depot/shipping terminal.The strikes on the depots are more effective than the sanctions.

Many Russian airfields and ammo depots struck. Some planes might have been damaged and removed. Some helicopters destroyed.

Ukrainian missiles and drones are finding their targets, let's hope it continues and they don't get jammed again. Western weapons manufacturers must be secretly thanking Putin for the opportunity to test anti-jamming capabilities. And if Ukraine can do it, then Taiwan can do it. China will probably think twice now before invading.

Kursk also has military transit routes. At least one has been cut.

Kursk also has a nuclear power plant. Allied forces were about 55km away from it? - rumour Ukraine has targeted electrical infrastructure recently so maybe they will cut the power lines?

Ukraine abandoned their defensive in swampy areas near Crimea in the last couple months. Maybe this is their new way to keep Russian troops occupied. Also puts Russia on the offensive instead of them leaving their areas unprotected.

Russia lost a couple helicopters so far and some planes (at least 4) recently.

Russia has also lost so many air defence units it can't protect all it's forces.

The problem for Russia is that they can't build replacements at a faster rate than they're losing them. More and more areas are going to become unprotected, will China supply Russia with air defenses?
