Oh, that's a good point. I knew there was something that slipped my mind.

Paul Wheeler, ATF Veteran, had better damn well stay in that sector if he knows what's good for him. :|

It seems to be a quirk with ATF escorts. There are some in ATF Forseti that do the same (Valkyries, I think they were).

Basically, it looks like the "ATF..." part has to be manually set, as it seems that it won't automatically pick it up like all the other races do (all the M1 and M7C fighters pull from the same fighter pool jobs in XRM Jobs).

To fix it, I'd have to add dedicated fighter-escort jobs to the Jobs file... and as it's only a cosmetic quirk, I think for now I'm just going to leave it.

Hi,

how can i change the Ware Size for the Jumdrive and Docking Computer to Vanila ?

This is very anoying for fighters to dock on a carrier without a DC.

Just open the Part 2 CAT in X Editor 2. Both items are in the TWaresT.pck. Bump their cargo size down to S or M, as you please, and save changes.

And don't forget to run the Plugin Manager once before playing so it can integrate the changes.

Why?

You can just order your fighters to dock to the ship, or if your flying it, well dock it yourself! :roll:

Not to mention different points of view. She might be wicked (and is it me or has she got a little de-nerf in XRM?), but still seems to be among the biggest M6s (if not THE biggest, even more than teladi ships), which makes her target practice for the enemy. You really can't get close and personal against an M7 with it as you could with an Heavy Centaur, and a swarm of xenon fighters around you are definitely dangerous when you are flying such an hard to miss corvette with still the same shielding of ships half her size.
Moreover, she doesn't come cheap: almost twice as much as the aforementioned Heavy Centaur.

There's more than top (linear) speed or generator power to consider when evaluating gameplay balance. I might for instance decide to keep using her, as I got her from the new Yaki start, but no way I'm gonna use this ship for M6 patrols, it would be suicide IS.

The issue you had was caused by you using the Bounce cat/dat. You are not supposed to use those when bounce is installed. The cat/dats that come with Bounce areonly used to make a wall file which you do not need. Im not sure why you deleted the complex cleaner cat/dat. I dont recall suggesting that.

So basically you did everything correctly accordin to your old post with the exception of the bounce cat/dat. Dont use those and your game will be fine. You understand? Im trying to be clear but I understand the language can be a bit confusing when youre not familiar with installing scripts and mods.

Try my directions and let me know if it worked or not :)

I'm still getting lockups (freeze + looping sound etc) after a reinstall. Doesnt happen immediatly; takes several mins into a new game.

Any ideas what it might be?

Mods I have installed (in addition to IR and XRM) are:
tubeless complex mod,
resized aldrin rock,
improved boarding,
anarkis defence system,
gazz's turret on/off script,
cycrow's cheats,
minimal hud

Awesome mod, been using it since friday and haven't found any bugs whatsoever, really happy with this mod.

I have a little question though, since you've added new sectors, would it be possible to add a unknown/empty sector somewhere in Terran space? ( Maybe a few asteroids? ) I usually start as a Terran and the only thing i'm missing is a empty sector to start building my empire in. I realize it would be rather unimportant thing to add, but it would be nice.

Anyhow, this is really good stuff. Keep up the good work!

I had freezes too, i disabled IR 15.27 and no more freezes anymore for me.
Didnt try IR Chaos Edition so far.

Try to Disable (Clean Universe) in IR and the lockups are gone.

Very nice mod, so far i have been pleased with everything, although you may need to go over the ship balance with the new weapon limitation they do get affected here and there, like teladi without ammo weapons.

Yeah, now I'm wondering it's a conflict XRM at all. It could be the new (1.26+) version of IR not liking ADS as removing ADS seems to have fixed it for me.

Interesting. Personally I use ADS and dont have issues but that doesnt mean I wont. Also was that a typo when you wrote 1.26+? I assume you mean 15.27 right?

Yes sorry, that's what I meant.

What I'm seeing is: with ADS, IR and XRM installed I get a very long freeze on starting a new game, and then several mins into that game I get another freeze the game doesn't recover from.
And if I remove ADS I also remove these freezes. I placed the blame on XRM as that's the newest install... but then I remember that XRM release coincided with the new version of IR.
