with the cockpit mod for xrm is it possible to reduce the size of the **** pit area compared to the ship. mainly large capital ships. first time ive tried the cockpit mod and its good apart from on ships such as my flagship valhalla were the bridge looks the size of half the ship lol im on 100 fov so im zoomed out from the ship if anything. Is it possible for me to simply reduce the cockpit/bridge size for all the capitals that use the same bridge, effectily i suppose i would be reducing the camera size im guessing?? I dont want to edit the scene but simply reduce the camera scale so the ship looks larger.
I used to list PC parts here, but "the best" will suffice!

Afaik no. Cockpits are great for immersion, I really liked them for a while. But then I got tired of 50% of my space view being concealed and I installed Pure X HUD UI. I'm telling you, it was best decision ever. I never looked back.

Maybe... one day, if some new, really great looking and totally minimalistic cockpit mod compatible with XRM ... or maybe not.

Seems like I've "nailed" ware size/plugin manager ressurection problem - solution? Don't use PM :) Change ware size in X editor. Voila. You're good to go ;)

a restricted on ship view is essentially the point in cockpit mods! lol i must say some of them need a texture update but aprt from that they are ok apart from the VERY big capitals which are made to look small by the scale of the cockpit and its position/scale on the main model.
I used to list PC parts here, but "the best" will suffice!

Youre right. I did fly off the handle there. I wouldnt say the same thing now. Id delete it but thats cheating :)

I would like to make a point though: There is a good reason there are 560 pages in this thread and I believe strongly that there needs to be room in it to discuss ideas that are absurd as well as important, even if only to the individual. Maybe someone will say "hey, I noticed the same issue in my game and I fixed it by ______." Or whatever.

This thread is bigger than just XRM. Its almost a forum unto itself for people who are fans of XRM. Even those with the occasional illogical gripe are still fans.

Anyhow, sorry for flying off the handle paul. You still have 100% of my support.

I must admit i cringed a little when i read your post joel lol... we all have bad days and i guess this was yours :P

Regarding these hud mods people have posted... I'm looking for one that has minimalised brackets... removing them completely seems a tad over the top and actually takes away from HUD realism... afterall a HUD is supposed to highlight important information, in this case ships, stations, roids etc. I don't seem to be able to find one. Tried Pure and Military so far and looked at Gold and erm, what was it, JC?

I gotta agree with you there. It's either the cockpit mod (not likely) or Pure X HUD UI. Either way they make stations on sector maps rather.. small and minimal or remove the box on things you aren't selecting. While reducing it is awesome, removing it or reducing it to the point where it's negligible kinda sucks..

Man guys I'm having fun exploring for the first time since X3. So many new sectors, new descriptions NEW THINGS! (Oh holy crap I just discovered the universe is round XD)

SWEET. The Boron tend to annoy me but I love their capital ships designs to no end. The Boron Aquata M1+ does not disappoint :)

Oh I see you can just jump to Khaak sectors in XRM w/o the UFJD. That's cool :) I missed showing up and wrecking their day so bad.

Wow I can't believe I just circumnavigated the universe. I did not see that coming. I thought to myself- I always go east. Not this game. I'll focus on the south west sectors of the game instead and try to play to the Boron and Paranids for a change.

Oops lol went round the universe already! Well.. I still have about 220 sectors to discover if I'm at 76 now.

Sooo... I'm stuck at the New Home Plot. Wrong place? No. Spike said that if you're having a problem in a modded game, you should go to the mod's thread and hope for solutions, so here I am.

Anyway, the issue (spoilers)

Right after me and #efaa jump back to Freedom's Reach, the plot orders me to fly to "<invalid>". I assume it was supposed to be "fly to #cafe", but the sector is crystal clear. Then the pissed off me jumped to Asteroid Belt to initiate the Aldrin Expansion, and #efaa sent me a message saying it needs help stopping #cafe, and the plot objective says the same, only there is no #efaa nor #cafe anywhere on the X-Universe! I can't even turn the guidelines on anywhere, the plot is dead.

I didn't say anything earlier because I couldn't remember what sector it was in but I've found another one-

I've found two stations so far named invalid Alpha. Two things.
1. :?
2. Think I'll find an invalid Beta? :p

What scripts or mods do you have installed? There are a few of us with that issue although no ones really clear on what mod is the cause. Its certainly not XRM.

I'm pretty sure that's it. I played XRM for about 1.5 hours last night and did not see any invalid stations. I played XRM for 4 hours so far today and have found two. The only difference is I've explored about 65 new sectors and I've installed MBRR. Granted I only explored about 12 sectors yesterday and I've explored five times as many today but I did install MBRR and only MBRR and it's reccommended scripts (aside from remove station debris).

Side note- Gazz's Auto Aim ftw. I only have one key added. Auto repair. Repping things with a coffee mug on my control key was damaging my steelseries 7g ^_^)
