I've not been sent that model yet by Expnobody. I don't think he's finished it yet. His last few models have been very heavy on frame rates so I'm a bit reluctant to put them in.

There will be a couple of new ships in the next update though:

Paranid light M2 - "Aphrodite"

Xenon M8 - "X"

Xenon M3B - "R"

Also model replacements for the Boron Coelacanthe and Oceanus (AP).

I am not going to add the Paranid M0 as it doesn't look like we will be getting M0s for the other races and this would upset the balance.

With this release every ship will now have a unique model (the Otas M8 already has a unique model from another mod), except for the Explorer M5s.

I don't know if this is intended but i have a modified XRM version of the Boron Pike, and i must say that the vanilla version is nicer on the eyes (at least it was in Vanila TC). I have AP 2.0.

Also, can't wait to see the other boron ships. Very nice work on the terrans and Argon and everything actually lol..

Thanks for the Medium Textures tip, my game have lower framerates than vanila still but at least is not pausing like before.

The vanilla Pike does not have its own model. It uses the same model as the Mako.

Thx Paul for the reply :)
Is it possible then to share the first version of the m2 that shared expnobody?
I mean...i would really love to use that one for the nagoya instead of the one included in your mod...but i can't make a scene file for it...if you've alreay done a scene file for it will you be so kind to share it? :)

It's not hardcoded. I will consider it.

In TC, no.

In AP, apparently.

Re: PHQ

I would like to see extra building credit cost lowered some but not go away completely. After all you would still have to pay at least the wages to your workers and for other not listed minor materials (like fish tanks and the shower head in the captain's cabin... wait, no, scratch that, thats mass effect 3 talking...).

Needs to be calculated carefully though; in the end building a ship by yourself should cost somewhat less than buying the end product from race shipyard because you need to spend a lot time for it. And of course some reasonable time restrictions have to remain.
As for speed... isn't the shipyard already building stuff at higher speed compared to the PHQ?

Personally I'd rather see the PHQ loose ship building completely and leave that functionality to the... well... shipyards?
Together with this lower price of PHQ station 50% which would still make it the most expensive station.
And raise shipyard station price somewhat.

I bought the X3 box with TC and AP about 3 or so months ago and have been playing a ton since then. For the first 80 or so hrs of playtime I was using XTR with TC and experienced consistently horrible performance and crashes. I since removed XRM as I always suspected it was the cause and have never had a crash since then. Has the generally horrible performance and repeatable crashing situation improved at all as I wouldn't mind trying it again but it honestly wasn't worth it before.

it is obviously heavier on performance then vanilla, but if you had/have crashes you just installed it wrong

Paul, your improved Kh'aak got my heart racing today when I was trying to out run one of the heavy corvette with low shields and hull damaged a bit in my m3 eclipse. That ashole chased and stayed on my tail all the way from one side of the sector to the other! I had to strafe the whole time for fear of death, and with no salvage insurance I didn't want to risk it...20min later I'm out and my heart is pounding out of my chest.

So yea, thanks for that. :P

I want to board that ship so bad....

I hadn't appreciated that it reduced performance markedly!

And Goslin's crashes, like the ones I suffered, must be an install issue. It is a pity the OP didn't come here then to ask advice rather than suffering and drawing the false conclusion that the mod was buggy.

As regards the PHQ... I really don't want to see any notable changes to build times. - BUT if there are, then it would be great if the scripts that alter it were named, so those of us who prefer slow and steady can keep it as was.

Smart_Bomb - Yes likewise and the Xenon fighter wings too... Oh and missile happy Pirate Blastclaws... It's not safe in space anymore, so I am seriously considering a desk job... :)

Hey Paul,
does repair time and cost depend on the number of hullpoints?
Does it mean that if I apply hull multiplier pack the cost and time of repair will increase much?

I havent noticed any change to time to repair or selling price with hull modifyer other then repair beam from astroman never runs out of energy.

Yeah, I noticed repair lazor does not go down lower than 97% and replenishes very fast, to the point you wouldn't notice it until you saw the energy flickering.

Anyway, yeah space seriously is not safe, and I can't wait for a Hyabusa. I am a Terran Patriot, so I'll get one when I can buy one. Bounties help immensely for me since I'm not much a trader. Fighting for Terra now feels like I am actually fighting for her, and making a difference, something I did not feel in vanilla.

I HIGLY recommend "marine repairs" to everyone for their fixing needs ^^

About PHQ: Please fix it, waiting 13 hours for a M6 is simply insane, i wonder how long the Valhalla would take... Six weeks?

I do get the idea of things taking time and all, but theres still the "fun factor" to considor as it is still a game, made to be entertaining and enjoyable. Last being greatly increased by XRM
