9950 is used by the xrm (i used the same number as killerog as the two mods are mutually exclusive).

Yes, readtext errors are nearly always caused by not copying the scripts from the scripts_tc folder in part 2 into your scripts folder in your x3 installation. You will need to restart your game once you have fixed the problem.

Hi Guys,

Thanks again for the advice, I have re-copied over the scripts so I just need to run the game to see if it's fixed.

Just a quick question, how do you find which number scripts such as 9950 relates to which script or mod?

9950 is a text file, not a script. In general you can look at the library for a list of what mod uses what text file - although in this case, its used by the xrm and is not in the library.

May I ask what piracy mod you are referring to? Or is it specifically the strengthened, racified pirates with micro economies?

I've just started as a Yaki hellbent on destroying the Argon scum and I love that Weaver's Tempest has a full on sector-economy going.
The part where you need System Override Software + Hackerchips To toss a pilot out of he's ship and take control of it.

I've not seen the SOS hacking as a standalone mod, but there is a script floating around that lets one board ships using SOS+Transport Device+Marines... That might be a good alternative.

Hey, I've got a quick question.

I'm playing the argon side of the battle right now, but I've just run into a problem. When setting up my HQ to build ships, I noticed that I need water. Is there any way to get it without starting a new game? (My terran rep is waaaay low). I also need Terran MREs which I don't have access to. Did I just cut myself in the fingers?

Capture terran ships and recycle them for resources. Or capture their stations, but you need another script for that.

Do you still consider Phanon Corp as an essential script ?
I really don't know if I should use it or not. The idea of an other aggressive faction in this already-aggressive universe makes me wondering.

You should definitely only be seeing Argon wares as resources for the Notus... I don't have access to the XRM files at the moment, so I can't check, but the HQ config file treats all Argon ships the same, so if there was a problem, I'd expect people to see it when building any Argon ship.
Seeing something similar on my end here as well. Building a Heavy Centaur Prototype right now and it requires Terran MREs and Hull Plating. Had to barter for both.

Should be noted that with my PHQ, which I bought from a shipyard or showroom, I don't have the issue of needing all those extra resources to build things.

Made this far to complicated.

Followed the instructions word for word and all I get is the opening screen, opening video then a crash.

If someone could PM me on why this might be happening that would be fantastic as I am not about to sift through 1600 pages of posts to find an answer.

That is normally caused by installing the XRM to TC, but then launching AP. Make sure you are reading the appropriate set of installation instructions for the flavour of X3 you are playing, and ensure you read them thoroughly, following all the points.

Hi! Had somebody already tried Dead is Dead game mode with this mod? Playeble or with any error you lose all your game progress?

IMO, X3 is not just the game for an ironman mode. Too many collision bugs. I tried once, got frustrated... And you can also be in a missile's area of effect and be one shot without noticing where it comes from.

Unfortunately, modding that is impossible ; I would loved to have a death replacement script (real life-insurance).

I experienced this as well and I found that I missed installing the second Cat and Dat file during the installation. Even after I thought I had read it thoroughly. So double check. ;)

Change Ware Price

Hi all

I want to Change the Price of the cargo bay Extension. I open the types/TWareT in the XRM Part2.cat (and also in the xrmdockingwaresize.cat) with X3 Editor 2 and change this values for Cargo bay Extension:

Relative Value: 200 to 2
Price Modifier1: 9 to 3
Price Modifier2: 5 to 2
Relative Value (Player): 200 to 2

But when i load my savegame and try to extend the cargo bay of one of my TS there is no Change of the costs, it is as expensive as before. Too expensive for me :)

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated!

Could you explain that? I do not have a plugin Manager or something that sounds like that. I install all mods/scripts with the fake patch method.
