i was having some serious game issues so i reinstalled everything just wanted to make sure when im installing gazz missile defense mk2 i use the file in part 2 of xrm to replace the one in gazz script
aslo im reading the install instructions for complex cleaner, im not suppose to install the cat/dat file?

No, you have to use the cat/dat file from the Complex Cleaner, but you have to use a lower number than XRM's cat/dat files.
Why do you want to use Gazz' missile defense MK2? When you are using X3:AP, it isn't necessary and even incompatible (see http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=238799).

everyone is telling me my problem must be something with xrm so im bringing it here this is whats happening after a complete reinstall
-reinstall tc and ap copy
-copy x3 folder and make it non steam
-reinstall xrm
-install complex cleaner (excluding the cat/cat file) because thats what the instructions said to do
-install that docking comp size thing at cat/dat above xrm
-installed missile defense mk2 (and used the replacement file in xrm) because that's what is told me to do
-installed missile safety
-opened and closed plugin manager
this is all for just tc havent even touched ap yet
and here is what it is doing now.
game starts fine then every once in a while anything that is up (the tool bar,sector map command console) disappears. Space, the nose of my ship, any thing else thats out there is still there but frozen. then after a sec or 2 everything comes back and play continues. (not sure if this makes a difference but while everything is frozen the lights on the factories still blink)

In your previous topic jack775544 advised to just install the game and the XRM to see, whether it's really a problem with the XRM or a script/mod conflict. Did you do that already?
Also what are your system specs? Are your drivers all up-to date, did you remove all offending codecs? While the XRM has several performance improvements, it also adds lots of features. So, there's a chance that the problem you're experiencing is performance-related.

Complex Cleaner may be installed incorrectly, because you didn't copy the cat/dat files. Please read the installation instructions carefully again. They say:
Complex Cleaner, FDN v7, MPM v7, SSDN v7: install the base cat/dat from these mods/scripts to the lowest cat/dat number, then the XRM base mod and addon packs as higher numbers.

Is it just me or does the docking computer not work? I have it installed, but the ship (Cerberus) doesn't auto-dock in any range (tried from almost touching the station to very far away when giving the command). In the controls, I don't find any option for a keybinding either - but that was never the case in TC, was it?
I think it has to be XRM, thats the only mod installed... or am I just doing somwthing wrong?

The docking computer only works for the player's ship. You have to be at 3 km or less to your target, and it must have a free docking slot for your ship class. The hotkey is just the usual "let me dock" shortcut, Shift+D or Shift+A.
There is also a script which allows all ships to use the docking computer, but this is a seperate download.

File not found. (addon\types\Globals)
I was using a steam installation. I created a whole new folder for separate modded games. Followed the instructions and got the no steam.exe from egosoft. I click run, oddly it says X3:TC on the button and X3: Albion Prelude on the graphics setter picture.
The screen goes dark, then I get a little pop-up
"X3:AP
File not found.

Yup it's in the seperate "x3 terran conflict" folder. I tried also deleting the X3AP.exe that was copied from the steam version, still had the same issue.You double-clicked the X3AP_n.exe within your (seperate from Steam) X3 folder?
When I open the game with steam, I see it's version 3.1, Egosoft 2013. When I open the X3AP_n.exe, It says X3: Terran Conflict Version 3.2, but it has the albion prelude picture.

I wonder if copying the X3TC (ie the base game directory) files inside the "addon" subdirectory would result in something like that, possibly...

I usually just used fast transports, and programmed them to avoid danger zones (said in the voice of Sterling Archer). For keeping your sectors safe, OOS combat is almost entirely about firepower iirc. Is there some ships description? I think in game descriptions are outdated already. For example, for Tepukei there is information that it can dock 23 fighters but it also can dock TS (not sure if another class too and how many).
The only workaround at the moment is to create ships for testing using cheats.
